During the final “live” weekend of the 2022 grassroots season, All-Iowa Attack hosted their annual Summer Finale. With a number of EYBL, 3SSB, BlueStar, and other top programs, it made for an outstanding event well-attended by college coaches from across the country. While my primary coverage area is Indiana, I had the opportunity to check out a handful of non-Indiana teams throughout the event. Below is a look at a few ladies who stood out for one reason or another when I was able to see them on Sunday, July 24th.

– Jenna is a very intriguing wing prospect who can contribute in a variety of ways. She has tremendous length, wiry strength, and she is a fairly fluid athlete in most directions. She can handle the ball like a point forward and run offense, she can put it on the floor and get into the defense for scores/passes to others, and she has some touch outside. If she can get just a little stronger and battle a bit more consistently inside the arc, it will certainly help her game for the next level.

– Adelyn is a former Indiana prep who is reportedly heading to Bella Vista this coming year to play for her aunt. She is a tough-nosed wing guard, physical, aggressive, and constantly in motion. She loves to attack off the bounce, but her perimeter jumper has become more consistent over the years, and that’s just another tool for her to use at the offensive end. Defensively, she’s an active rebounder, plus she will guard the ball hard in the backcourt, and she is willingly physical inside the arc.

– Devin stood out almost immediately when I was able to see Tree of Hope. She is a talented athlete, with good strength, great North/South speed, and some quickness. She can handle the ball and play a point guard role, but she’s such a natural scorer, that I would want to run her off of screens more than have her run offense. She is strong to the basket, she can finish through contact, but she also has a nice pull-up, and she has some touch around the perimeter. Devin has a lot of upside.

– Zaylee is an intriguing forward who looks like she’s transitioning from the interior to the perimeter. She has a solid to strong, athletic frame, she is a nice North/South athlete, and she has some length. She handles the ball quite a bit for her team, and she has some touch to the 3-point line. I would probably actually call her more of a face-up ‘4’ than a wing, but with a versatile skillset. When she needs a bucket, she can go inside, get physical, and score it around the block. She will be a handful this Winter.
