During the final “live” weekend of the 2022 grassroots season, All-Iowa Attack hosted their annual Summer Finale. With a number of EYBL, 3SSB, BlueStar, and other top programs, it made for an outstanding event well-attended by college coaches from across the country. A few Indiana teams made the trek to The Hawkeye State, and all played respectably throughout the course of the three-day event. Below is a quick look at a few ladies who stood out for one reason or another when I was able to see them on Monday, July 25th.

– Maddy has performed well for this

team all grassroots season, especially in July with a smaller roster and more opportunity. She has nice length, a wiry-strong frame, and she’s a solid all-around athlete. She can handle the ball in transition and initiate offense, but she’s at her best when she gets hot shooting, with range beyond the arc.

Pocket City Basketball

– Over the past year, Ava has gotten a little taller, noticeably stronger, and more physical. She has been able to absorb contact much better when handling, and she’s getting to the basket more often, finishing through hits as well. Defensively, she uses her length well and takes good angles when defending the ball. She should have a nice year for North.

Indiana’s Best
Red 17U
– Jacklynn has really grown in the past 12-18 months, and she still might have an inch/inches left in her. She is extremely long, fluidly athletic, and she looks like she’ll be able to get much stronger. She can handle it a little and run offense, but she’s a natural scorer who can knock down shots outside, or she can slash to the basket and score/draw contact.

Orange 15U
– Allison was good all weekend, aggressive off the bounce as usual, constantly getting into the paint and scoring it at the basket. She has shot it much more consistently this year, and becoming a multilevel scorer is huge for her game. I also really like her willingness to battle defensively, especially against much bigger girls, plus she’ll rebound the ball.

, 2025, 5-4 G, Avon H.S.,
Indiana Elite
Green 15U
– Nevaeh is an athletic little guard who has an explosive first step. She is extremely quick/fast in all directions, plus she has a lot of bounce to her, and she’s incredibly long for her height. She was assertive all weekend, but Monday she was as efficient as she was all weekend. She made big shots down the stretch, and she created havoc as a defender.
Lillie Graves, 2027, 5-11 W, Wainwright M.S.,
Indiana’s Best
Court Queens 14U
– Lillie will be one of the first 2027s discussed when we get to that class in another year. She is extremely long, fluidly athletic, and skilled. She can play a point forward position, initiate or create offense, and she can get to the rim and finish. She’s also very active defensively, as she gets her hands on a lot of passes. She could still also grow 2-3 more inches.
