The 2nd Half of July kicked off one day before the live evaluation period started in Orlando at the Orlando Splash. A number of teams from all over the country have gathered in Florida for this competitive exposure event. Here are some class of 2024 stand outs from Day 1.
Leah Bullard Leah Bullard 6'1" | PF Dr Phillips | 2024 State FL 6’1 Wing – 2023 Candace Parker Hoop Dreams Elite
Strong, athletic versatile player that can play multiple positions and has a strong build. Her body is her strength as she is bigger, stronger, faster than most players on the court. She seems to be still transitioning from a front court player to a perimeter player. Her stock will rise as she becomes more comfortable and productive from the wing spot.
Sara Lee Blair Sara Lee Blair 6'5" | C Dillard | 2025 State FL 6’5 Center – GT Queens 2024
Blair while be the biggest thing on courts 1-25 all tournament. She is a major presence in the paint and is an intimidating force as she is hard to move when she establishes position in the paint and hard to go around when trying to get to the rim off the bounce. She is an impactful defensive rebounder and shot blocker and has ability to score at the rim when she gets low post touches or grabs offensive rebounds for put backs.
Makayla Stokes 2024 6’1 Forward – DME 2024
Long athlete who plays hard on both ends of the floor. She rebounds and pursues balls in the paint and just a good job being an active defender who contests shots both in paint and on perimeter.
Kelly Cramer Kelly Cramer 5'9" | PG St. Joseph Academy | 2024 State FL 5’9 Guard – DME 2024
Skilled perimeter player with excellent shooting form. Shoots high % from 3. Gas hands ready and gets feet set with quick release. If over play will shot fake and put tot the floor to attack basket. Excellent FT shooter and unselfish passer who gives ball up to open teammates.
Kendall Shorstein Kendall Shorstein 5'5" | SG Episcopal School Of Jacksonville | 2024 State FL 5’7 Guard – 2024 East Coast United Clarke
Shorstein played as a combo guard who is a knock down, let it fly, high percentage 3-point shooter! She has a wide base, gets her feet set quick and has nice form. Not just a perimeter shooter, she played well of the shot fake when defenders closed her out to hard and put it to the floor and attacked the paint under control scoring at the rim or making easy drop passes for layups to teammates.
Kennedy Rosendahl Kennedy Rosendahl 5'6" | SG Ponte Vedra | 2024 State FL 5’7 Guard – 2024 East Coast United Clarke
Kennedy is a skilled combo guard who played well out ball screens in ECU offensive system. She came off screens shoulder to shoulder both on middle and side ball screens, reading the defense, balancing her attack between getting to the rim, feeding the roller for easy buckets or creating penetrate and kick opportunities. She has a high basketball IQ and with good energy.
Kaitlynn Weaver Kaitlynn Weaver 6'0" | SF Tocoi Creek | 2024 State FL 6’0 Wing / Forward – 2024 East Coast United Clarke
Weaver is a big 6’0 wing / forward who is a bit raw on the offensive end but is active on both ends of the floor and plays with consistent energy. She played well out of high ball screens, catching passes on the move, and finishing well at the rim. She was also very active on the offensive glass.
Yakiya Milton Yakiya Milton 6'4" | PF Mandarin | 2024 FL 6’4 Wing – 2024 East Coast United Family
Milton has lots and lots of potential. Her height, length, and athleticism immediately jump out at you when you see her on the court as there are not many players in the country that are playing the wing at 6’4. Her production and energy can often be up and down. The key to her game is consistency – she has all the tools to be great and just needs to show it every game. She burst onto the exposure scene last year and has quite a few college coaches following her progress.
