Drawn from Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Nebraska, and Colorado, it was a solid, very competitive field. It was a fine line drawn between the first and second teams but below I give you the players selected to the all-event first team.
Ashlynn Amsman, 6’0″, SF/CG, Unity (IL), COH Elite 2023 Haire, 2023 – Amsman was among the most difficult players to match up with at the event. Not just playing on the wing, Amsmann has stretch four written all over her. With her strong, lean build; length, speed, height, and athleticism all the physical tools are there. What puts her at the top of the pile is her ball skills. She made quick yet catchable entry passes and passes to cutters; she attacks defenders on teh perimeter, she also can whirl off the bounce to can the mid-range jumper with a fluid, quick release. I am always on the look out for players All the physical tools are there for a school that wants a player who can step out on the wing or Starting with her strong, lean build and length
Avery Barber Avery Barber 5'8" | PG St. Joe Central | 2023 MO , 5’9″, SF, St. Joe Central (MO), KC Royalty, 2023 – Catching a bicep to the face on a baseline drive, whacked on finishes, or knocked down in a variety of situations Barber showed from the first tip off how she is able to take a hit and keep right on going. She even landed on a scorers table and nearly took out a BallerTV camera later in the day. When asked about it after her first game she matter of factly said “I’m used to it.” Opponents have a difficult time handling her because of her handles, athleticism, and diversity of her game. She also elevates well and can show the ball before pulling it back for a finish. Heady, poised, and active Barber also uses her hand speed and quickness well defensively.
KaMyra Barber KaMyra Barber 5'9" | PG Wichita Heights | 2025 State KS , 5’9″, SF, Sunrise Christian Academy (KS), Kansas Bluejays, 2025 – While Barber is included in a small forward capacity it should be noted that she can be plugged into any one of four positions on either end. She showed good strength and athleticism, handles, range on her three ball, scoring ability, and activeness defensively to defend those same four positions. Barber was a consistent presence on the floor.
Jaylee Christian, 6’2″, C, Stillwater (OK), Graham’s Shooting Stars, 2024 – Christian caught my eye at the Dynasty Region Finals several weeks back and today showed growth and consistency in all areas. Not only can her size and length not be missed but she also showed transition speed, hustle, soft hands, and an ability to finish off the catch while on the move. She took up a lot of space on both ends when she spread out but particularly on the block post-up. What really caught my eye was her ability to defend on the perimeter with consistent quickness and balance. Christian is nowhere near her ceiling so look … out.
Misora Nambara Misora Nambara 5'4" | PG Republic | 2024 State MO , 5’4″, PG, Republic (MO), Missouri Select, 2024 – A real floor leader, Nambara has very solid handles, plays in control, and is super quick and tenacious on both ends of the floor. A consistent perimeter shooting threat, Nambara finishes with either hand and with speed. Her quick feet keep defenders in front of her and her hand speed often generates turnovers that follow.
