There’ve been prospects at all levels playing terrific basketball. Let’s take a look at some of the recent star performances at different grassroots events.
Mia Bazzi Mia Bazzi 5'7" | CG Wayne Memorial | 2025 State MI (2025, CG, MI Factory 2025, Wayne Memorial)
A star guard coming out of Wayne Memorial and MI Factory? Forgive me if I’m not surprised. Bazzi showed off her elite 3 point shooting over the weekend. She even finished in second place in the Run 4 The Roses 3 point contest
Cece Bonner (2026, PG, MBA 2026 UA Future, Muskegon)
Bonner showed some old fashioned bucket getter ability over the weekend. She was speedy and creative in the open floor. Bonner played with a lot of control when the ball was in her hands.
Rylie Burley Rylie Burley 5'6" | PG Leslie | 2025 State MI (2025, PG, The Naturals 2025, Leslie)
Burley continued her solid grassroots season at the Sneaker Wars. She controlled the offense and was looked to as a primary scoring option. Her weekend was highlighted by a 16 point performance.
Tianna Daye Tianna Daye 5'5" | PG East Kentwood | 2023 State MI (2023, PG, West Michigan Drive 2023, East Kentwood)
Daye was so solid over the weekend. She was named to the USJN All-Star Team. Daye consistently touched all corners of the stat sheet, doing a terrific job of reading the game and finding where her team needed her to contribute.
Hailey Freshcorn Hailey Freshcorn 5'8" | PG Columbia Central | 2024 State MI (2024, PG, MSF Flight 2024, Onsted)
Freshcorn has had one of the more impressive grassroots seasons in the state. As usual, she was both a scorer and facilitator at the PGH 2K22. Freshcorn grooved her jumper at the event making it look pure and come off her hand with confidence.
Lila Hoisington Lila Hoisington 5'10" | SF Morley Stanwood | 2024 State MI (2024, SF, MBA UA Rise 2024, Morley Stanwood)
Hoisington played some really good basketball in the first UA Rise Session 1. She had an impressive 16 point game and was a key to her team’s 2-0 start.
Jocelyn Koto (2025, SG, The Naturals 2025, St. Johns)
Koto is a new name to our coverage, but she’s now on the map thanks to her performance at the Sneaker Wars. In one game she came a point shy of a double-double finishing with 9 points and 10 rebounds.
Autumn Reed Autumn Reed 5'7" | SG Utica Eisenhower | 2025 State MI (2025, SG, Tri-County Hoopers 2025, Utica Eisenhower)
Reed showed out at the USJN Premier Showcase. She showed the she can attack offensively in a variety of ways and can match up defensively with multiple types of offensive players.
