Maya Gordon, Maryland Belles, 5’7″, Point Guard
Maya was playing out of position for most of the game I watched, but her versatility allowed her to contribute at a high level anyway. She is a strong ball handler with a good three-point shot which really opens up the whole floor for her on offense. She looked to set up teammates but also showed the ability to get buckets when necessary. Good upper body strength and balance allowed her to finish through contact. Looking forward to seeing her again.
Savannah Curry Savannah Curry 5'11" | SF Westtown | 2024 PA , Team Takeover, 5’11″, Shooting Guard, Roland Park
Long and athletic guard with a deadly three-point shot that she can hit off catch and shoot situations or with her step back after creating space. She can definitely get all the way to the rack and finish because she has a solid handle and a nice touch. Her length, wing space and footwork allow her to defend at a high level.
Aniya Campbell Aniya Campbell 5'7" | CG Western | 2024 State MD , Team Thrill, 6’0″, Center-Forward, Forest Park (MD)
Chaniya is a warrior on the court, routinely battling with bigger and stronger opponents. She has uncanny timing on her blocks and goes after every rebound on both ends of the court. Her offense is still emerging as she has improved her footwork and is finishing at a higher clip around the basket. Her jumper needs work, but she is working on that face-up fifteen-footer to round out her game.
Arianna Seitz, York Lady Raiders, 5’11″, Shooting Guard, Eastern York
Very active defender that uses her quick hands and length to disrupt a lot of plays. She has great instincts but does not gamble unnecessarily. She is an excellent shooter with deep range and has the speed to blow by defenders and convert layups and floaters.
Ciarra Gibbs, York Lady Raiders, 6’0″, Power Forward, William Penn
Ciarra goes hard in paint. Very physical player on both ends but she has some finesse to her game as well. I like how she runs the floor and establishes good post position. She rebounds on both ends, goes after loose balls and sets good screens. She is a good finisher around the basket and her free throws looked good in the games I saw.
Emily Tvrdik, Central Jersey Hawks, 5’10″, Shooting Guard, Wall Township
Emily is a human Swiss Army knife. She can do everything on the court. She’s a dangerous three level scorer that uses off the movement, screens and a strong triple threat stance to get her shots. She can bomb away from long range or just beat opponents off the dribble for pull ups, floaters and finishes at the rim. She defends at a high level, providing help where necessary and doing a solid job of staying in front of her assignment. I like how she rebounds and ignites the fast break by pushing it up the court herself. She should reel in some nice offers this summer.
