There were over 70+ girls from all over the midwest area in attendance, during this 5-hour event, each girl participated in drills, half-court games, and recruitment seminars, and ended the day with multiple 5v5 games.
Below are my standouts from the event
’24 Morgan White | 5’9 Guard | New Prairie ( South Bend, IL)
White’s skillset is beyond her years. Starting with her superb court vision and smooth ball handling … Morgan is what every team needs. An athletic, playmaking, strong, patient, and poised player. Her scoring style is aggressive but intelligent at all 3 levels, while also having the size and drive to defend 1-4. She’s a special type of talent.
’23 Jadyn Kosanic Jadyn Kosanic 5'2" | PG Depaul College Prep | 2023 IL | 5’2 Guard | Depaul Prep
She is a crafty and aggressive guard who can get to her shot at all levels. When attacking the basket Kosanic has no issue with contact or traffic. She has solid body control and can finish around or over the top of taller defenders. On defense, she can be an issue to deal with for her matchup. Solid court vision and a strong IQ as well.
’24 Lexi Sepulveda Lexi Sepulveda 5'10" | CG Plainfield East | 2024 State IL | 5’9 Guard | Plainfield East
An electric, fast and quick scoring guard who can play with the ball and off the ball. She has the skill set to fit in within most systems and change the flow of a game within an instant. On the opposite of the ball, Lexi shows the motor and discipline to guard 94ft. She can create her shot at all levels while also creating for others.
’23 Natalie Fernandez | 5’10 Combo Guard | Guerin Catholic (Noblesville, Indiana)
Fernandez’s court vision, floor awareness, and basketball IQ are elite. Countless times she made pinpoint passes, perfect lead passes, and showed the ability to create nothing out of something. Natalie has a strong feel for the game, she knows when to score (3-level scorer) and when to feed, and what tempo to play based on whos on the court. Easily one of my favorite players from the event. High upside.
’23 Lia Saunders | 5’5 Guard | Hampshire
A solid combo guard who can go multiple possessions straight being the main scorer… then switch to the main facilitator with no drop-off. She can score from paint to arc while playing with a good tempo and a smooth pace. She can handle the ball, contain her matchup and also make plays without and away from the ball.
’23 Samantha Origel Samantha Origel 5'9" | CG Burlington Central | 2023 State IL | 5’9 Forward | Burlington Central
Often labeled as an outstanding 3&D player, Origels game has transformed into an all-around type of player. Her motor and size allow her to fill the stat box in multiple major categories. She can defend and rack up steals and blocks. Her high energy leads to her being active on both sides of the glass. Sam can be the main scorer, a go to playmaker, or a catch-and-shoot/spot-up shooter. A wide set of skills.
