The Orlando Splash was held July 20-22 and was loaded with talent from the state of Florida. While there was a number of talented players, here is our starting five in the class of 2026 from the Orlando Splash event!
Starting Five:
Jaelynn Houssey 5’9 Guard (Florida Lady Huskies)
Houssey is somone I have seen since 5th grade. And now as she enters high school, her body has developed into one that is mature for her age. As a member of the 2026 class, her 5’9 frame really stood out. She is a strong, athletic guard who broad shoulders who has made tremendous strides in her offensive skill set in addition to becoming bigger and stronger!
Aubrey Satterfield Aubrey Satterfield 5'8" | SG West Orange | 2026 State FL 5’8 Guard (J Sizzle 2025)
Unfortunately, my time watching and evaluating Satterfield was cut short as she injured her hand / arm halfway through day 2 of the event and I do not believe she returned to action. But in the brief time I did catch her on the court, she displayed a lightning quick first step, impressive finishing ability and did a good job knocking down shots from the perimeter both off the dribble and in catch and shoot situations. She is a long, athletic, wiry guard who does a good job balancing creating her own shot and creating shots for her teammates.
Taniyah Davis Taniyah Davis 5'8" | PG American Heritage | 2026 State FL 5’9 Wing (Florida Lady Huskies)
Davis showcased why in my opinion she is the top 2026 in the state of Florida. She has exceptional length and athleticism with an enhanced skill set that is mature beyond her years. She is a high percentage 3-point shooter and is capable of going on 8-0 runs single handedly. She uses her length both on the offensive end and the defensive end, turning defense into offense by stepping into passing lanes, blocking shots, and rebounding the ball on the offensive and defensive glass. She is a versatile playmaker who a strong offensive skill set and is a high major D1 prospect.
Isyss Mimms 5’10 Wing / Forward (GT Queens 2026)
Post players typically develop slower at the travel and high school levels but it is important to see what their staring skill set is, along with their work ethic, body type, and potential. Mimms checked a lot of boxes, as she is a young forward, with great height, solid build, who took defensive boards coast to coast in transition showcasing her strong rebounding skills as well as her ability to handle the ball. She plays hard, aggressive and with a lot of emotion. I look forward to tracking her as she has a ton of potential and with her energy and work ethic, I expect her to continue to develop and be a stock riser!
Frances Garilus 6’0 Forward (TNBA South 2026)
Garilus was definitely a new face for me that caught my eyes immediately when walking over to her court. She is a 6’0 post who has great height for a young player and is athletic and mobile. Garilus was 3-4 inches taller than everyone on the court and used her size to be an effective rebounder and finisher in the paint. She plays hard and run the floor, scoring easy buckets in transition by getting out in transition and working harder than her opponents. Her strong frame, great height, and hustle and effort make her one of the top performers in the class of 2026 and definitely a name to keep on the radar!
