Teams covered: Impact Basketball 17U, ND Attack 16U Blue, ND Attack 14U Green
Though I didn’t see the prospects extensively, here are some thoughts and things that stood out.
Bergan has taken her game to another level…again. Her individual offensive game is elite. Ability off the dribble and to be able to continue her dribble is impressive. The offense, for the most part, went through Bergan being a playmaker as a scorer and passer. The three-ball seems to be improving as well. Impact Basketball went 4-0 and secured the championship. Bergan can now be considered the #2 prospect in the North Dakota 2023 class.
Jocelyn plays extremely fast and energetic. She has a super-quick and explosive handle on the ball. She showed these same traits against top competition away from high school ball.
Highlights
Tesa has a big and strong frame overall for a ball-handler/point guard. She was the leader and go-to playmaker for ND Attack 16U Blue. The main ball-handler for ND Attack and she made things happen for them. Pushing the tempo, hitting floaters, hitting threes, etc. Did a good job pushing the tempo via dribble and up-court passes to teammates. Scored in a variety of ways and showed solid individual skills.
Highlights
I don’t have the height of some of these 2026 prospects but Jacie seems to have a long frame and a strong/solid build. A wing-type that looks to be a strong prospect in the class. Not fast nor slow with her speed, but plays with high IQ and will be a varsity producer and college prospect going forward.
Tegan is a prospect I saw for the first time. And she’s a legitimate younger prospect and has to be one of the tops in the class when that’s generated. A two-way guard with average size but not average skills for a 2026 prospect. Handles the ball very well and can get to the hoop and finish. Runs a fastbreak at a high level, dishing, and finishing. It seems like she’s going to be a good one. Scholarship-level prospect for sure.
Presley is a very instinctive defender and playmaker on that end. Deflections and steals are the norm. The best defender on the court. Great athlete. She dives for the loose ball, gives effort, crashes boards. High-end athlete.
