With the 2022-2023 season just a few months away, our scouts have come together to assess what we’ve seen so far (this spring and summer) and what transpired last season (how it ended) to update the rankings for the Class of 2025 (Summer Edition).
The Class of 2025 consists of student athletes going into their Sophomore year (22-23′ season).
Here are the Players whos stock continues to rise!
Audriana Wright Audriana Wright 5'10" | SF Sandia | 2025 State NM – 5’9″ Small Forward Sandia HS
Current Rank: 6
Previous Rank: 8
Audriana Wright Audriana Wright 5'10" | SF Sandia | 2025 State NM is a multifaceted player who does a variety of things well on both ends of the court. Audri can play both out on the perimeter and in the interior where she most often matches up but that is because Sandias’ lack of height. However, that does not stop them as a team from being contenders at the 5A Level – They were the 14 seed last year with three starting Freshman, Wright being one of them. What stands out to me most about Wright is her unselfishness in terms of doing what is needed to help make the team competitive. Wright has really improved her playmaking and shot creating over the summer dishing out several sweet dimes across multiple AAU tournaments and HS Team Camps. Audriana helps form a nice “Big 3” for Sandia who plan on being Title Contenders over the next three years with that core (Benally, Giddings, Wright).
Bleona Agushi Bleona Agushi PG Del Norte | 2025 State NM – 5’6″ Guard – Del Norte HS
Current Rank: 7
Previous Ranking: 9
Bleona Agushi Bleona Agushi PG Del Norte | 2025 State NM is talented combo guard from Del Norte High School who has one of the best handle packages in the State. An ankle breaker in every sense of the word. Bleona can flat out handle the rock and create for herself and teammates both in the halfcourt and out in transition. Agushi does a good job of penetrating the lane by breaking double teams that occur when she operates the pick’n’roll with a quick first step. Bleona is also a very good 3pt shooter with excellent range – Look for Agushi to help lead the Lady Knights next season as they continue to gel together.
Mila Espinoza Mila Espinoza 5'4" | CG Volcano Vista | 2025 State NM – 5’5″ Guard – Volcano Vista HS
Current Rank: 8
Previous Ranking 33
Mila Espinoza Mila Espinoza 5'4" | CG Volcano Vista | 2025 State NM is a fundamentally sound guard that is quickly solidifying herself as one of NM’s top Underclassmen. Mila was on Volcano Vistas’ Varsity this last season but due to the tremendous depth they possessed, she was limited. Now that VVHS graduated six total seniors, four of them starters, Mila is in line for an increased workload that should result in good numbers. This Spring and Summer, Mila has played in multiple showcases and tournaments for AAU, both locally and nationally on multiple platforms (PGH & Blue Star). Mila can control the tempo of a game with smart decision making and good ball handling especially in transition. Espinoza is also a deadly 3pt shooter that continues to expand her range.
Jessica Roberts Jessica Roberts 5'6" | SG Mesilla Valley Christian | 2025 State NM – 5’5” Guard – Organ Mountain HS
Current Rank: 12
Previous Ranking: 36
Jessica Roberts Jessica Roberts 5'6" | SG Mesilla Valley Christian | 2025 State NM is promising guard for the Organ Mountain Lady Knights who made the 5A Quarterfinals a season ago. Roberts will look to contribute more on both ends this upcoming season now that Senior Graduate (’22) H. Dominguez is attending Adams State University in Alamosa, Coloarado (D2). Roberts showcased her ability to score earlier this summer at the BTH Showcase down in Las Cruces, NM where she did a nice job of attacking the lane, getting past the initial defender, and hitting floaters over the help side defenders. Organ Mountain are still very much contenders in 5A.
