Jillian Huerter Jillian Huerter 6'0" | PG Kent | 2023 State NY -2023-5’11-Elevate NYBC
Dependable point guard, she has a nice mid-range game and her size allows her to pull up over smaller defender. Had several key plays down the stretch, highlighter by an assist to put her team up by one followed by stealing the inbounds pass and then calmly stepping to the line knocking in both free throws to secure the win for her team. She displayed leadership, confidence and good decision-making.
Jaeda Wilson Jaeda Wilson 5'10" | PF Holy Child | 2024 State MD -2024-5’9-Germantown Lady Panthers 17GUAA
Strong lead guard, physical and quick. She uses her body well, not affected by contact through finishes or handling the ball. Jaeda plays with pace, changes direction well and is a crafty finisher around the basket. She gets under opposing guards defensively, applying on ball pressure and disrupting the offensive flow.
Zanai Barnett Zanai Barnett 5'8" | PG Riverdale Baptist | 2023 State MD -Gay-2023-5’7-Germantown Lady Panthers 17GUAA
Athletic combo guard who got into the paint whenever she wanted. She is a very good on ball defender and rebounding guard. She is fast in transition, has great control and finishes around the basket with either hand. Zanai has quick release on her shot, able to pull up off screens and had a nice fade away in the paint. I loved her competitiveness, she had a key steal and finished a layup plus the free throw to lead her team to a game 1 win. If you need an athletic player effective from either guard position, look no further.
Faith Walker-2024-6’1-Sideline Cancer 16U HGSL
Faith has great size on the wing at 6’1. Her length caused significant disruption on the defensive end with her ability to alter shots and defend on the perimeter. Offensively, she moves well without the ball, cutting into the lane for open layups where she is equally effective finishing with either hand. She doesn’t waste energy with unnecessary movement, her cuts are timely and with purpose. She can score at 3 levels, high IQ players and smart passer. She attacks space hard and distributes to open players with simple, effective passes.
Nevaeh Wingate Nevaeh Wingate 6'1" | SF Liverpool | 2023 State NY -2023-6’1-NY Royals 17U
Playing the small forward position, she did a ton of damage in the paint. Her length paired with athleticism made her a difficult matchup. She springs off the floor to finish at the rim, snag rebounds and challenge shots. She was too quick for post players to defend, took advantage at high post with drives to the basket and posted up smaller defenders inside. She had a nice reverse layup through contact and good luck trying to catch her in transition.
Kailey Kalet Kailey Kalet 5'8" | CG Union Springs | 2023 NY -2023-5’8-NY Royals 17U
Strong, physical lead guard. Commands control of the game, directing teammates and is an extension of coach on the court. She is physical on both ends of the ball, muscular frame and one of the best conditioned athletes in the gym. Competitor who didn’t back down from a challenge all week; three level scorer who looks to set teammates up first.
Thai Davis Thai Davis 5'5" | PG Beaver Country Day | 2023 State NewE -2023-5’6-Bay State Jaguars
Passionate point guard who competes with a lot of heart on both ends of the floor. She commands control of the game, knowing when to push in transition and direct the play in half court sets. She is productive, making reads leading to easy buckets for teammates or getting into the heart of the defense and using her athleticism to finish over length. She was one of the most entertaining athletes to watch this tournament. She provides toughness, leadership and is constantly communicating.
Olivia Pepple-2024-5’9-PA Swoosh
Olivia runs the team from the PG position, pushes the ball in transition and when not leading the break she is running the lanes wide. Olivia did a nice job of inviting and finishing through contact with either hand. She has a crafty handle, doesn’t over dribble while using combination moves to get past the first line of defense and create opportunities to score. Showed her ability as a three level scorer, good court vision and passing ability.
Kayana Armbrister Kayana Armbrister 6'0" | SF Dexter Southfield | 2023 State NewE -2023-6’0-Bay State Jaguars
With her athleticism and length, her 6’ frame seems much taller. Kayana has size, athleticism and skill. Strong defensive player who can guard the perimeter, block shots in the paint and at the 3pt line; she is quick laterally and maintains good defensive position making her hard to beat off the dribble. She has all the tools to be an elite defender at the next level. Ran the floor for easy buckets and can shoot out to the 3pt line.
