Jaloni Cambridge Jaloni Cambridge 5'8" | PG Ensworth | 2024 State FL |FBC United|5’6”|PG|’24
Cambridge is a showstopper. She was one of the most elite guards at Spooky Nook and made basketball look easy. Cambridge’s first step that leads to her explosive jump to the rim through the defense is jaw-dropping. Getting a bucket wasn’t unusual behavior for Cambridge, but I was drawn to her defensive intensity more than anything else. She speeds you up and causes unforced turnovers because of the pressure she applies. I like how Cambridge impacts the game offensively; she sets the same tone on defense and can take over the game on that side of the ball with momentum-changing plays.
Courtney Ogden Courtney Ogden 6'1" | SF Westminster School | 2023 State #7 Nation GA |FBC United|6’1”|SG|’23
Ogden effortlessly rains threes; it doesn’t matter how much pressure you put on her. She has one of the smoothest jump shots in the gym and shoots over the top of defenses like it’s nothing. Ogden’s size, versatility to play all over the court, and high IQ are just a few of the many things to like about this prospect. Her in-between game is excellent, and she is deadly with the ball, running the lanes or trailing because of her shooting acumen in the open court.
Joyce Edwards Joyce Edwards 6'3" | PF Camden | 2024 State SC |FBC United|6’3”|PF|’24
Edwards was a strong post presence for FBC United throughout the entire UA Finals weekend. She battles down low and never gives up on a play. There will be sequences where Edwards gives FBC United 3rd and 4th scoring chances with her activity on the glass. It is hard to match up with Joyce’s size, length, and athleticism, and when you add in her motor, it results in a high-impact power forward/center.
Zamareya Jones Zamareya Jones 5'6" | PG North Pitt | 2024 State NC |FBC United|5’6”|PG|’24
Jones came to play in the Championship Game vs. West Virginia Thunder. She came off the bench and gave the team some scoring punch from all over the court. You must close out hard to her on defense because Jones can snipe as well as anyone. She also has the explosion off the bounce to get into the paint and be a dynamic scorer and playmaker. There weren’t many prospects I saw faster than Jones with the ball.
Aubrey Beckham Aubrey Beckham 5'10" | PG Hebron Christian | 2025 State GA |FBC Family Supreme|5’10”|PG|’25
Beckham has intimidating size, which makes her an automatic mismatch at the guard positions. She trusts her handle and playmaking ability and is dynamic when pushing the ball up the court. Beckham’s convincing hesitation dribble and change of speed make it easy for her to get downhill where she can display her mid-range and finishing package. Her size and athleticism give her the tools to defend multiple positions and be a monster two-way player.
Jade Weathersby Jade Weathersby 6'3" | PF Brookwood | 2023 State GA |FBC Family Supreme|6’2”|SF|’23
Elite athleticism and power were the first words that came to mind when I first saw Weathersby play. She is terrific around the basket, can finish with her right and left, and has strong hands that make tough catches in traffic. She has a good feel for the paint area. Weathersby knows where to be, has excellent mobility, and makes smart decisions when receiving the ball on the block. Weathersby is capable of taking the defender off the dribble and scoring or unselfishly kicks out when the defense collapses.
Teagan Colvin|Northwest Blazers|5’7”|PG|’24
Colvin was electric, running the show for the Northwest Blazers. I was watching the game on the court adjacent to the Blazers, but when I turned and caught the level of passion and energy from Colvin, I had to dedicate my time to her game. Colvin is an elite shot creator who separates from her defender with ease. She absorbs contact on drives and powers through defenders. Colvin also can shoot from the perimeter and is fun to watch in the open court when she changes speeds. I also liked that Colvin relentlessly crashes the glass every time a shot goes up.
Julia Curran Julia Curran 5'3" | PG ArchbishopCarroll | 2024 NY |BBA|5’3”|PG|’24
Curran was one of the hardest-working athletes I saw last weekend. She is small but scrappy and never cheats you with her effort. Defensively she covers a lot of ground when pressing and jumps to the ball. I liked how she constantly outworked the other team, especially on 50/50 balls. She made good out-of-bounds saves, was the first on the floor for loose balls, and was a fun player to watch compete throughout the weekend.
Jillian Huerter Jillian Huerter 6'0" | PG Kent | 2023 State NY |Elevate NYBC|5’11”|PG|’23
I was really impressed with Huerter’s defense during the Select Finals. She has the size and length to cut off angles and swallow up smaller guards on the perimeter. Huerter is also a shot-blocking guard with good instincts. She did a great job tracking down ball handlers and swatting shots with either hand without fouling.
Ruby Santos Ruby Santos 5'11" | SF Kent | 2023 NY |Elevate NYBC|5’11”|SG/SF|’23
Santos is a very impressive passers at her position. She sees the floor well and always looks up when handling the ball. Santos kicks off the break by throwing a beautiful outlet pass that is crisp, accurate, and strong. In the halfcourt, Santos plays with patience and locates the open teammate when she draws the defense on her drives. Nothing Santos does is flashy, but she continuously makes the right decision with the basketball.
