Continue ReadingComing off a stellar sophomore season in which she won Class A-Private Most Improved Player, Chit-Chat Wright has been on a tear. Chazadi was excellent in a 58-33 win over Zone 6 Celtics Platinum, controlling the game without having to score constantly. Wright is a lethal shooter but at War Games she used her playmaking to set up easy looks for teammates. Wright tallied 3 points, 3 rebounds, 6 assists and 2 steals as she created offense for others. Wright is one of the very best point guards in Georgia.
Hidden away in the Freelance division of Georgia, Ja’Quoia Jones Ja’Quoia Jones 5’8″ | CG Westlake | 2024 State GA is an interesting guard. She’s power-packed, physical attacking the basket and when rebounding. The strong guard has a nice jump shot with a high release. Jones is a multi-level scorer with a steady motor. She tallied 16 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 4 steals vs. FBC Supreme Team.
I think coaches will start tracking Lacey Thomas Lacey Thomas 6’1″ | PF Callaway | 2024 State GA soon. She has very good size and a well-proportioned frame that can bang in the paint. Thomas’ length alters plenty of shots. Her rebounding is a strength. Lacey moves well for her size and does a good job converting on putbacks.
Allen is a tough shot maker. She loves her jump shot, using her high release to get clean looks overtop the defense. Allen has begun filling out her frame, getting much stronger. Continuing to find ways to impact games aside from her scoring will help her become a complete player.
Playing up didn’t hinder how effective Anaya Lewis Anaya Lewis 5’10” | PF Ola | 2024 State GA was in the paint. She’s a sturdy forward that loves to offensive rebound. She works hard to get in position and does a nice job converting through contact. Lewis plays bigger than her listed size of 5-foot-9.
Highlights
You can always count on hustle out of Jadyn Kniceley Jadyn Kniceley 5’9″ | SF South Forsyth | 2024 State GA . She plays extremely hard on both ends of the floor. She is a willing defender that will mix it up with bigger opponents. Jadyn is a quick slasher that excels at finishing at the rim.
College coaches popped their heads up after Megan Reed Megan Reed 6’1″ | C Etowah | 2024 State GA opened up hot vs. Porter Sports. The physical big man not only banged inside for buckets, but showed the ability to space the floor, hitting a mid-range jumper and a three-pointer. Reed is a sneaky good scorer on the low block. Non-D-I schools will keep a close eye on her.
