One thing you might notice is the obvious visual upgrade to the articles. The main thing I am noticing is how many photos of players I lost when changing to a new phone at the end of last season. I’ll just have to take their photos all over again this year.
Smith plays much bigger than her size. Her leaping ability is amazing and when combined with her basketball IQ to put herself in the right position to make a play watch out. Before her Sophomore season is done she will vey likely have collected over 1,000 rebounds. She grabbed 351 as an 8th grader and 310 last season. It is not an exaggeration when I compare her to Dennis Rodman (without the hair dye). rnShe has no need to score very often with multiple scoring threats on his high school but is more than capabe as she showed this summer playing up on the 2023 and 2024 teams. If she was not such a selfless, team player she could easily be averaging a double-double each of the last two ssasons. She did average 7 points and 12.1 rebound per game two years ago and 10 rebounds, 3 points last season on a better team.
Highlights
Triplett is an excellent player that in the right role that the Green Waves needs in what is sure to be another special year. Her stats from last season do not reflect her value but what I have seen recently on the PGH Circuit and HS Summer Ball she is poised to break out. Her defense alone, especially in the full court press, is going to to be important. She is very quick, moves her feet very well and has active hands without fouling.
Highlights
Alexander puts the power in Power Forward. She is very strong and brings a mobility to the court that not every player with her size can. I was impresed by what I saw from her in a practice before last season began and based on what I have seen she is baout to make a leap forward this winter. rnShe was very effective on the back of the Zone last season and I expect she will continue to be an effective rebounder and shot blocker going forward. She is the heir apparent in a crowded frontcourt replacing some of the minutes and touches Butler lost to graduation.rn
I have seen so little of White, but I can tell she is a very strong and sturdy player with a bit of a no nonsense kind of attitude on the court. She has the ability to seal off opponents in the paint to post up or secure the in-zone rebound. She has excellent upperclassmen to go against and learn from on hand to help her continue to develop.rnI don’t know why her photo is loading sideways. I took the photo and uploaded the same way I have every photo I have every used on this site. Just turn your screen one rotation to the right and hopefully we can get that figured out before the next article.
Soutar is part of an upcoming contender in the 6th Region. She is one of many talented young players on the North Bullitt roster that has the feeling of inevitability about them when it comes to their state tournament prospects. The question is when will they arrive.
Soutar is the primary post option with a tons of skill around the hoop. She has the ability to pass, post-up. rebound, block shots and runs the floor very well. She has the basics of being a Big in her toolbelt and is working on mastering them and expanding from there. She is long, lean and seems to be building some excellent muscle on her thin frame. She must be hitting the weights like any player serious about going to the next level should.
Highlights
Terrell is long, skilled and poised with her back to the basket. She can face-up or play as a distributor from the High Post, or mid-Post. She is a good rebounder, rim protector and shot blocker. She is developing into an excellent player that will be a great contributor for the next three years. rnShe shot less than three times per game last season making 49.3% of those shots. To me that translates into getting her more touches in hopes her percentages stay the same or improve.
