Kennedy Stamper Kennedy Stamper 5'5" | PG George Rogers Clark | 2027 State KY -2027
Stamper was absolutely sensational. It seemed like every play she made was highlight worthy, and she dished a sick behind the back pass that really got the crowd into it. Stamper plays with flare and she has next level skills. Stamper’s ball handling ability makes her almost impossible to guard. She can get past any defender at the perimeter and score at the rim with ease. She is so crafty, quick, and has several dribble moves in her arsenal making it hard to anticipate what she will do next with the ball in her hands. Stamper put on a well deserved 8th grade MVP performance.
Akiyah Wade Akiyah Wade 5'6" | CG Bryan Station | 2026 State KY -2026
Akiyah Wade Akiyah Wade 5'6" | CG Bryan Station | 2026 State KY showed up at the Midwest Spotlight to work hard, perfect her craft, and to compete against other elite prospects. Wade proved her game is up to par and that she is more than ready to play at the high school level. Watching her and Kennedy Stamper Kennedy Stamper 5'5" | PG George Rogers Clark | 2027 State KY go head to head made me want to grab the popcorn, it was that exciting to see. Wade brought that passion she always plays with, and she was up to the challenge. It didn’t matter who was guarding her she was going to get a bucket regardless.
Anaya Chestnut Anaya Chestnut 5'7" | CG George Rogers Clark | 2026 State KY -2026
The Chestnut hype is real they have a family tree full of athletes and they know how to compete. Anaya Chestnut Anaya Chestnut 5'7" | CG George Rogers Clark | 2026 State KY played very well at the event she made an immediate impact on offense knocking down perimeter shots and scoring in transition. Chestnut played with high energy on defense and never let up. She kept that intensity and gave it her all throughout the entire showcase.
Kyleigh Chestnut-2028
Kyleigh Chestnut genuinely loves to play basketball I was very impressed with how she was so into the game. Even when she was catching a breather on the sideline she stay engaged and cheered her teammates on. Her Basketball IQ is next level she knows exactly where to be on the floor and she picks her spots well. Chestnut was dominant on the offensive end and she was consistent with her jump shot, and scored multiple layups in transition with both hands. Kyleigh plays with the same high energy her older sister Anaya does and shares her drive to compete as well this effort helped her earn the 7th grade MVP award.
Lexie Combs Lexie Combs 5'6" | PG Breathitt County | 2028 KY -2028
Lexie Combs Lexie Combs 5'6" | PG Breathitt County | 2028 KY can flat out ball. She stood out to me immediately with her shooting form being picture perfect and she has a dribble pull up jump shot that is money. Combs is very fundamentally sound its obvious she works hard on her game. She played with confidence and a fearless mentality driving to the rim and finishing layups even with contact. Combs was effective on defense as well. I saw multiple possessions where she played lock down defense showing she is a 3 and D type of prospect.
Maggie Simons-2027
Maggie Simons has exceptional size and strength for a point guard. Combining that with her elite ball handling skills and playmaking ability makes her a tough task for any defender. She was hard to stop on offense as her handles helped penetrate the lane to create enough space to get her floater off. Simons was lethal from the three point line as well with her crossover between the legs step back move.
Baylee Warner-2027
Baylee Warner already has great length and size for her age and she knows how to use it well in the interior. She has elite footwork and a variety of post moves that she uses to score with her back to the basket. Warner also has nice touch on her jump shot allowing her to step out and score from perimeter as well.
