A versatile big that steadily improves her game year after year ranging from newly added post moves to becoming more agile in defender the high and low post area. Stroklund is a solid 1 on 1 defender that often comes up big on the winning side of things. Brenna will be a lot of fun to watch this winter time as I know she’s going to be one of the top prospects that comes out of Region 8.
Kate Zimmer Kate Zimmer 5'7" | PG Kenmare | 2023 State ND – Kenmare – (5’7/CG/2023) – Kate is a deadeye from the 3 point range. She possesses great court vision and often runs the fast break offense looking for the best option at all times. A smart combo guard that can play at both ends, but excels more on the offensive side. Over the years Kate has improved her game from just being a shooter to a mover. She adds much needs space to the offense given her ability to shoot, but is just as deadly at attacking the rim. With her and the return of stud athlete Brenna Stroklund Brenna Stroklund 6'0" | PF Kenmare | 2023 State ND , Kenmare has another shot at a state title.
Suede Daly Suede Daly 5'7" | SG Ray | 2023 State ND – Ray High School – (5’7/SG/2023) – Suede is an intellectual guard that can play at both ends of the court. She’s strong with her lower body and cuts off opposing players from getting to the hoop and has a sweet looking jump shot that extends to 21 feet. Daly is a solid all around guard that isn’t going to hurt her team, but is going to make all the right plays to get the W.
Carter Charboneau – New Town – (5’9/SF/2023) – Charboneau is a hooper! She’s quick, agile and not afraid to battle with the trees in the post. Carter is versatile and has a quick first step in ripping past bigger defenders. A hustle player like her counterpart Sunnie Belgarde. With the two of them returning to this talented New Town squad I expected another run at the region crown this year.
Sunnie Belgarde – New Town – (5’10/SF/2023) – Sunnie is an undervalued player. She’s versatile enough to play 2-4 and can defend 2-5 in my opinion. She’s got a quick step for cutting off defenders and finds herself with at least 2 blocked shots a night off hustling back on defense end. Belgarde is long and moves around the court with great pace. She’s aggressive and hungry for the ball. Sunnie is a solid shooter and if she is anything compared to last year will continue to impress with her playstyle and enhance her game to the next level.
