Some are gaining interest from several colleges at all levels, while others are receiving offers from mid-major to high major colleges. Let’s take a look at the players that are ranked 6-10.
10. Jakyra Jackson Jakyra Jackson 5'6" | CG Central West Helena | 2025 State AR | 5’6 | Combo Guard | Central West Helena
Jakyra was very impressive in HSSE National tournament I saw her compete in. I had several people tell me she was a terror for her high school team last year. I’m looking forward to seeing how she competes this year as a sophomore. Still a bit raw in her offensive skills compared to others on this list, but her IQ and athletic ability makes up for it. If she continues to improve I can see her moving up the list.
9. Laykin Moore Laykin Moore 5'10" | SF Mountain Home | 2025 State AR | 5’10 | Wing | Mt. Home
I first put my eyes on Laykin at a Prep Girls Hoops tournament in Kansas City. She immediately caught my attention because of her skill set and her size. Standing around 5’10 and being able to handle the ball, attack off the dribble, and finish at the rim or in the mid-range was impressive. Due to a school district rule she didn’t compete at the varsity level most of last year, but she will be available to play this year as a sophomore. If she plays the way I think she’s capable then she will be a problem for the rest of the conference.
8. Sidni Middleton Sidni Middleton 5'10" | PG Vilonia | 2025 State AR | 5’10 | PG | Vilonia
Being 5’10 and the playing the point position is almost unfair. She has good size to be able to see over the defense at her position and then has the skill and poise to make plays for her team. Being a freshman and starting in a tough 5A conference says a lot about your ability and talent. Returning for her sophomore year should be just as special.
7. Emerie Bohanon Emerie Bohanon 5'7" | CG Conway | 2025 State AR | 5’7 | Combo Guard | Conway
Emerie is probably the best athlete on this list. Her athletic ability allows her to defend a number of players. She can lock up the small quick player, the bigger wing player or anyone else you want defended. Emerie is not just an athletic player that plays defense and excel in transition. She can attack in straight lines, finish at the rim, and make the three-ball. Playing in the toughest conference in the state last year says a lot about her skills. Getting significant playing time on a nationally ranked team says a lot about her as a player. I look for her role to expand this year as a sophomore.
6. Kaycee McCumber Kaycee McCumber 6'0" | C Farmington | 2025 State AR | 6’0 | Post | Farmington
Kaycee is different from every other player on this list. She’s not the most athletic, doesn’t have the best skills compared to the other players, but she’s the most versatile. Listed as a post player, Kaycee could easily transition to a wing player if she wanted to. She has a lot of potential and I can only see her getting better as she goes through her high school career. Practicing with and against nationally ranked and Arkansas commit Jenna Lawrence Jenna Lawrence 6'3" | PF Farmington | 2023 State AR everyday in practice can only help her.
