Meredith is a talented guard that has a reputation as a playmaker with the ball in her hands. But be careful not to overlook her prowess on the defensive end of the floor. Meredith is a smart defender that plays the passing lanes well and forces her opponent to make crisp and clean perimeter passes. She does an excellent job getting up the floor with the ball off a steal and turning defense into offense.
Roe is an absolute menace with her on ball defense. Her defensive vision and quick hands are absolutely elite. Roe keeps a good low base and keeps her opponent in front of her. She stalks the ball waiting for an opportunity to swipe it away. When Roe sees the ball out in front and unprotected, she’s almost guaranteed to take it away.

McConnell is a rising prospect that has shown a bunch of upside this summer. She’s strong and athletic, allowing her to stay with her opponent in the open floor. McConnell communicates well on the defensive end and most obviously takes pride in her production at that end of the floor. Keep an eye on her this high school season, because she could develop into an absolute stopper on the perimeter.
Parker is a scrappy veteran guard that really enjoys playing solid defense. She’s a very versatile defender in a couple of different ways. Parker can defend effectively from baseline to baseline and at a high speed. She can also defend a variety of positions, even defending in the paint when her team needs it. For these reasons, Parker is a very valuable piece of any roster.
Pobocik is a refreshing sight for basketball purists. She lets her game start at the defensive end and it certainly suits her well. Pobocik is a grinder when playing defense, earning hustle points and being willing to hit the floor and make the plays that may not show up on a stat sheet. She will be counted on to shut down or slow down some big time scorers this coming high school season.
