Due to issues involving the playing courts, the games were relocated to different locations across the greater Denver area; Resulting in the inability to see as many games as I would have liked. However, I was still able to see many intriguing matchups and talented players!
Here are some players from the State of Colorado that impressed with a brief analysis. (1/2 of full list)
CO – Lady Roughriders 17 Sagner
#7 Charlotte Brennan Charlotte Brennan 5'6" | CG Mead | 2023 State CO – 5’5” Guard (2023) Mead HS
Charlotte is a catch & shoot specialist from behind the 3pt line that jumps to the ball, keeps her hands ready in the shooting pocket and hits nothing but net.
CO – NOCO Triple Threat Elite 17 BSAL 23
#11 Bree Bunting Bree Bunting 5'8" | CG Platte Valley | 2023 State CO – 5’8” Guard (2023) Platte Valley HS
Bree is a long, athletic multi-positional player that has good footwork and plays with good energy. Bunting is not afraid to post up opposing guards or wings down on the block and use clean pivots such as, “up’n’unders/step-thrus”.

#14 Malorie Byrne Malorie Byrne 6'1" | SF Arvada West | 2024 State CO – 6’1” Wing/Forward (2024) Arvada West HS, CO
Malorie is an offensive threat who can score inside/out thanks to her ability to move well without the ball – She can step out and hit the 3ball or turn to her bread & butter, which is getting deep post position in the lane, sealing defenders & utilizing a drop step, over the left shoulder shot.

#4 Natalie Guanella Natalie Guanella 5'7" | PG Monarch | 2023 State CO – 5’7” Guard (2023) Monarch HS
Natalie is a strong guard who has good body control and is good in the open court with her decision making. Guanella uses her body well to shield defenders both when bringing up the ball and when creating contact at the rim.

#21 Holly Jayasanker – 5’11” Center (2023) Arapahoe HS
Holly is a big body down in the lane who likes to bump inside – Jayasanker uses a drop step often when operating on the block and crashes the glass on both ends, giving great effort.

#24 Nikki McSpadden Nikki McSpadden 5'8" | CG Lutheran | 2024 State CO – 5’8” Guard/Wing (2024) Lutheran HS
Nikki is a High energy player that competes on both ends of the court. A rhythm shooter that moves well without the ball and has good form; McSpadden is a solid 3pt shooter that will also utilize a pump fake to get to a midrange jumper on the baseline.

#22 Fiona Snashall – 6’1” Forward (2023) Holy Family HS
Fiona is an intriguing forward that is athletic and fast at her size. Snashall has the ability to play out on the perimeter, on both ends of the floor – She can handle the ball well enough taking stress off teammates and moves her feet quick enough to stay in front of opposing guards/wings.
