Layla Booth
Very impressive under the radar kid who opened some eyes on this day at the Top 64. She really has a solid all-around game as she uses her length and athleticism to her benefit. She can play outside and is not afraid to show off her perimeter game, can also take the ball to the rim and finish. One of the better ‘26s I have seen this summer.
Keyairah Beard
Keyairah Beard
The thing about Keyairah is her intensity and very good handles, able to stay upright and looking ahead at such a young age. She competed well with the older kids in her group, still in middle school, she showed a lot of promise. I liked the way she maintained body control when she had the ball, played with poise and promise.
Caroline has definitely improved from the last time I have seen her play. She showed me not only the ability to use her length to disrupt and alter shots on the defensive end, she moved well and got into position to help her team both inside and out. Not afraid to let it fly, I liked her aggressive style wanting to contribute. Good range, continues to watch her game grow.
Erin Thomas
Erin Thomas
She is another player younger than most who have a good future ahead of her with continued hard work. One of the things I noticed from her at a young age was decent footwork and that will continue to get stronger as she gets more experience. Erin moves well in the paint and her defense is solid with a good wingspan. Excited to see how she looks a year from now as she gets closer to high school.
Whitney Stafford
Whitney Stafford
Without question one of the best overall players at the Top 64 event, Whitney (feature photo above) showcased her skills as one of the top 2026 players in the state of Ohio. She played beyond her years and showed me she has good command of the game. She can run the show and has good handles, able to control the pace of the game. One of her bjggest strengths is her ability to score from the perimeter. She has unlimited range and her game will continue to grow.
Kendall Owens
Kendall Owens
Kendall did a great job finding her teammates as she distributed the ball well and showed the ability to use her excellent court vision to give her team a better chance to score. Good handles, quickness and played solid on-ball defense which contributed to her team at the other end of the floor.
