This was one of those #downtothewire games that gave me enough adrenaline to drive back to Houston yet it also proved something I have been saying all century, and that’s #talentiseverywhere if you know what you’re looking at so here are my Top 5 performers from SUNDAY, one more time, I am going to have RECAPS on my WEBSITE, it’s coming, not soon, but it’s coming
Keshanti Gordon (NSA)
Gordon just kept FLASHING right before my eyes scoring off the dribble yet that pull-up jumper, yes that’s her in the cover told me immediately she could JUST DO IT. She’s long and athletic and YES, I am adding her to the PGH Texas 2023 Top 100, Texas is a HUGE state and I knew absolutely nothing about her but she can flat-out play. Her “on the ball defense” as well as “playing the passing lane” was just as exciting as her dropping the mid to long-range yet she also scored off the dribble and finished with either hand
Roselyn Spencer (NSA)
Spencer did some damage inside the paint early and when I saw the turnaround jumper, I was in a daze as she too is “long and athletic” yet her timing to block shots, with authority, as well as taking the defender off the dribble from the wing quickly brought me back. She rebounded on both ends, she defended strongly and she also showed she score from outside and watching her elevate to drop the mid to long-range was impressive
Bailey Sims (Armoured Elite 2023)
Sims appears to stand at “the magic number” which is 6’0, nothing came up when I took the time to search yet her “hands and footwork” alone was enough for me as she scored consistently around the rim, including after contact. She also did a good job attacking the basket from outside the paint yet when she rebounded and handled the ball C2C, that’s coast to coast while being pressured, I dropped the notepad yet she has, even more, to show as the mid and long-range were in her toolbox
Mya Wilson (Platinum NTX National Bates)
Wilson showed me a much different view of her game as she “guest played”on this squad within her organization. I knew she was good yet I didn’t realize how MUCH she brought to the table, S/O to Coach Jay Bruce with the assist yet she does that also, but her jumper created problems, and so did her attacking the basket relentlessly and finishing with players literally hanging on her back. She rebounded against taller players, she dove for loose balls, yes, she will be added in the next update
Sema Udo (Team Liberty)
Udo had me wondering how in the world I missed her, so GOOGLING her name after being impressed by her performance yet seeing she was C/O 2025 has me even more impressed, yes I’m adding her too. She scored off the dribble, factor in she already has a “college-ready frame” but she ran the floor, on both ends, she rebounded, on both ends and she scored around the basket, yes that includes putbacks. She also dropped the midrange yet with her size and upside, she has a bright FUTURE “Life is Good”
