Ashiian may be small in size, but she plays with a big heart and maximum effort. She zipped around the court, able to use her speed and quick change of direction to get into the heart of the defense to make plays for herself and teammates. Her ability to finish over height was impressive, she displayed craftiness with nice timing on her floater. Ashiian’s ability to shoot the 3 and score in the midrange were on display all tournament. Defensively, she is scrappy and applies constant pressure on the ball handlers turning defensive into offense for her team.
Trinity is a smooth lefty who can score from anywhere on the court. Dangerous off the bounce, utilizes combo moves to set up defenders and get back to her strong side. She is long and athletic, able to finish over and around defenders. She is physical, initiating contact in the paint and is not easily bumped off balance. Trinity has always been a strong rebounder from the guard position and that did not change this tournament. She is a double, double threat every time she steps on the court. She carried a heavy load for her team; managing ball handling, scoring and rebounding duties all while playing strong defense.
Athleticism is off the charts, one of if not the most athletic kids in the building. Her offensive prowess was unmatched, she was not going to be denied getting into the paint applying constant pressure on the defense. She consistently drew fouls with her relentless attacks on the basket where she showed the ability to finish through contact. She was a dog defensively, applying constant pressure and effortlessly turning steals into points for her team. Beautiful was one of the most entertaining athletes to watch this tournament.
Taylor Addison
Taylor Addison
Taylor has nice length on the wing that causes disruption for opposing players. She used her length to get in the passing lanes leading to deflections and steals. Good rebounder, reads weak side and crashes in for boards. She is a capable ball handler, pushing the ball in transition and passes ahead to teammates. Strong 3pt shooter with range well beyond the 3pt line. Great teammate and unselfish player who sees the court and makes easy passes. Often times her unselfishness cost her open shots as she passed off to a teammate when she was open at the 3pt line. She has a high ceiling, not even close to reaching her potential. Will be a steal at the next level as she continues to develop her game off the bounce.
Tiyara Gonzales
Tiyara Gonzales
Tiyara is a burst of speed and energy. She plays fast, under control and her energy is contagious. When her team needed an energy boost, she was always there to provide it. She did a great job pushing the ball in transition, making tight passes through the defense and uses a nice change of direction to get into the pain. Her handles are low and tight and you can tell she values the basketball. On the defensive end she was a nightmare, her quickness and active hands were problematic for opponents as she created a ton of turnovers.
