Continue ReadingKaliyah returns for her senior season with only one thing on her mind; a state championship. Committing to D1 -Lindenwood University after having a very successful AAU summer it is no surprise that Sain will have a target on her back entering her senior season. After averaging 19 PPG as a junior and being the #7 scorer in 5A last year teams will have to know where she is on the floor at all times making it very hard for defense to plan against a solid Kennedy Cougars team.
Joens enters her senior season being one of the top 3 point shooters in the state of Iowa. Averaging 34.7% from three on 173 attempts as a junior and 81.2% from the free throw line it is no shock that the Iowa State basketball commit will have a fantastic year. When you pair this along with her approved transfer to West Liberty high school to play under her sister, it is hard to see her not having an outstanding year at the 2a varsity level.
Petersen returns to Bettendorf high school as one of the top leading rebounders in the state while also averaging just over 15 PPG as a junior. After having a great AAU summer with a loaded Quad City Shockers team Lillie has received interest from several colleges at all levels. Along with her rebounding and scoring the thing I think is most impressive is her defense. Being able to guard the 4 or 5 on any team and being able to switch onto a 2/3 guard in pick & roll situations I can see why she is getting so much attention. I will be curious where she ends up committing to but am excited to see!
Highlights
Emma plunges into her senior year as the floor general of the Cedar Rapids Jefferson J- hawks. The Mckendree University basketball commit had a solid junior year with 81 assists & 35 steals on the season followed by a great AAU summer for Team Iowa 17u Blue Star where she lead a dynamic offense to a winning record on both the Prep Hoops circuit & Blue Star circuit. It will be interesting to see what Emma can do with this Jefferson J-Hawks team that brings in a new head coach for their 22′-23′ season.

Halle looks to lead her Pleasant Valley High School team to state again for her senior year after losing in the state semi-finals to Johnston High School in the 21′-22′ season. As a junior Halle averaged 19.9 PPG on 49% shooting & 6.6 rebounds per game. It will be no surprise to anyone when the Marquette basketball commit has an electric senior season racking up great numbers on both sides of the floor.
