Fall Leagues are fun to watch because anyone can play each other no matter what level, public or private, etc. Here are some of the seniors playing in their last fall league looking to leave a mark against their competitors.
Samyha Suffren Samyha Suffren 5’8″ | PG Cannon | 2023 State NC is so fluid with her movements on the court. The #1 ranked 2023 in the state is certainly going to take advantage of her senior season going after a championship, and she can do a little bit of everything. Everything she does is intentional whether she is going up for a shot, grabbing a rebound, jumping into passing lanes, or making a pass. Her high IQ and quick decision making makes her an exceptional athlete. Her leadership is crucial for her team directing her teammates in order to get a play going and bringing a lot of energy on the court.
Mckenzie Taylor
Mckenzie Taylor
Mckenzie Taylor was feisty going after loose balls and knocking them away from guards as they tried to get around her. She pushed the tempo running the floor well with the ball, and she was making some nice backdoor cuts to catch and score. She had a nice reverse layup driving baseline against contact for some points, too. She can also shoot the three showing off multilevel scoring. She can definitely elevate jumping into passing lanes on defense as well.
Mackenzie Chabala
Mackenzie Chabala
Mackenzie Chabala was making smart cuts in the paint and using her spin moves to score some points. She was getting inside to grab rebounds, too. She has a nice jump shot even from the more difficult areas like the baseline. It was apparent that she knew how to get open finding the vacant spots on the court, and her movements were constantly shifting her defenders around.
Jael Poole
Jael Poole
Jael Poole was a scoring machine going hard to the hoop handling the ball herself all the way to the rack. She did a nice job finding her open teammates underneath the basket and her quick passes were unstoppable. She was feisty on the other end of the court scrapping for loose balls and knocking the ball away from her opponents preventing them from getting anything going.
Amara Thomas
Amara Thomas
Amara Thomas did a nice job pushing the ball up the court. She drained it from well behind the arc, too, showing off her ability to score on all levels. Her fake and drive was effective getting to the basket for some points. She was great when it came to anticipating plays on defense knowing when to slide into the passing lanes.
Kayla Decker Kayla Decker 5’8″ | SF Cox Mill | 2023 NC was constantly getting her hands involved on defense knocking the ball away from her opponents. She took her steals pushing them up the court, and she was aggressive getting inside for some rebounds. On offense, she was playing all over the court being able to put up shots or get inside to battle for some points.
