This tournament was loaded with 2026 talent, including my MVP of the tournament, Megan Roberts. I’d say the future is bright for girls basketball in Washington. Here’s the top players I watched by class, in order, followed by the best in the class. I’m basing this on how they played the game or games I watched. This has been updated to include team 4.

2025 MVP
This was a close one between her and Malu Touras Malu Touras 5’4″ | CG Inglemoor | 2025 State WA . Both played really well. Touras (photo above) got hot in the last game, trading buckets with Roberts for what seemed like about 5 or 6 times in a row. Impressive. I went with Portia here because of the way she handled the ball, distributed, got to the bucket, and shot it. She’s a true point guard, that’s what I noticed about her game. She can really score it as well. Solid all around skills, and a trusted floor general.

2024 MVP
A member of team 4, she is my best in 2024. She was excellent at getting to the basket, which she did as well as anyone in the tournament. She is a great shooter as well from the three point line and showed the ability to score in the mid-range off the dribble. A good athlete who can really get out and run the floor, pushing it up the court, always under control. She was one of the better players in the tournament.

2023 MVP
She’s listed as a shooting guard here but played more like a point guard who can score. She was great with the ball in her hands. Solid ball skills all the way around. She was always in control, pushing the ball up the floor when she had numbers or slowing the pace and getting her team organized. She can also shoot it, made threes, mid range shots, and finished well with either hand on the break. She should be a steadying force for her team, who will also give you points in bunches.
