The youngest of the three Yeast sisters to come through Mercer County over the last decade or so, Teigh is on track to be the best of the three. Already holding D1 offers before her first high school class, Yeast was a solid second scorer behind her older sister Timberlynn last season. Look for the youngest Yeast’s production to rise even more this season.
Wilkins was one of the state’s leading scorers as an 8th grader at Eastern. Averaging over 25 points per game is impressive and while her individual stats will dip at CAL this season, Brianna should have much more talent around her. Look for the talented wing to show her full arsenal as a freshman when she’s not going to need to score huge numbers to get a win.
Speaking to the depth of this class, James is another player who has a D1 scholarship offer already and looks primed for a huge high school career. Ashlinn played up on the 16u level all spring and summer of AAU and showed she has the skill level and toughness to make an impact while playing up two age groups.
Abby was limited to 7 games of varsity action at Male last season but will be a nice piece for a Mercy team that is loaded up with talent once again. Reitzel played up on the 15u level of the EYBL with Kentucky Premier and showed she has a lot of tools in her toolbox and can impact winning in more ways than scoring.
Highlights
Anna joined Abby on that Premier 15u roster this past summer and shares many of the same winning attributes as Reitzel. A three sport star, Tinelli also plays a big role on the soccer pitch for the Chargers and is a high level track athlete. Her future is bright on the court and she’ll have a much bigger role than she did last season when East were State Runners-Up.
