Continue ReadingI try to hit countless events that fit, one thing that’s vital for me is to have what I need and I’m not talking about next-level talent, I’m a REAL EVALUATOR and I know how to spot those who are capable because let me say this, after a handful of players who show they are one of, if not the best each time they step on the court, many others are very close.
I have a saying, SHOW ME ON THE COURT, and I post the link countless times on where I’ll be yet I will still get messages from people saying “you need to be here” or “you need to see her” but one more time, social media has HURT more than it has HELPED as far as this, don’t care if you agree or not, just keeping it real
#25 Mylee Guinn Mylee Guinn 5'11" | SG Frisco | 2025 State TX -5’11 SG (Frisco) Texas U
Guinn has shown me “one mo gin” time after time she can flat out shoot the ball. I lost track of her, players leave the city and state more frequently, and to be honest, she should have been on the initial 2025 drop yet, you have to be where I am for me to evaluate. Well, she’s in the mix now and should be with many college coaches because they love big guards that can drop it from all over. She creates her shot nicely, her release is quick plus she scores off the dribble
#26 MaKyah Foreman MaKyah Foreman 5'8" | CG Bellaire | 2025 State TX -5’8 CG (Bellaire) Cy Fair
Foreman is another player I hadn’t seen all club season, saw her a couple of times over the school season, in fact, wrote about her at the Girls Texas Jamboree. I’ll be covering that because I love finding hidden gems and as good as Foreman was, she has elevated her game and showed completely out at the PGH Texas Top 250 Expo. She’s strong, finishes after contact, and elevates on her jumper, which she drops mid to long-range. Another huge plus is her battling for rebounds against taller players, on both ends of the court
#29 Kaylie Carr-5’8 PG (WT White) Team Stay Ready
Carr is in the driver’s seat to go the distance, gas or electric, because, now peep this, she doesn’t run out of gas, never takes a play-off on either end and has some electrifying moves, especially in the open court. Her stop and pop jumper in transition JUST DID IT for me at the PGH Texas Top 250 Expo, but her hesitation moves going full speed, I call it the HEZ, had the defender guessing and when you factor in her turning on the turbo and finishing acrobatically, her upside is really scary
#30 Abby Seitz Abby Seitz 5'9" | CG Vista Ridge | 2025 State TX -5’7 CG (Vista Ridge) Phoenix
Seitz gets the #THROWBACK hashtag off the top because she is one of the toughest players in Texas, all classes and no fabrication. When you get elbowed and I see blood everywhere, yet you come back and I say “you’re not going back in” and get the “are you crazy look” well that speaks volumes. Well, turn up the sound because she dropped a 3 to win and looked at me smiling afterward. Okay, that’s the foundation, her poise under pressure is something you can’t teach. She also drops the midrange, finishes with either hand off the dribble, and does a good job defensively
#42 Emani Gibbs Emani Gibbs 5'6" | CG Brennan | 2025 State TX -5’6 CG (Brennan) Texas Flight
Gibbs may not be on NCIS, yet Emani Gibbs Emani Gibbs 5'6" | CG Brennan | 2025 State TX is becoming a must-see and her Nielsen ratings have elevated her status. I love her ability to see the court, not only in the set but also going full speed in transition. She handles the ball under pressure and plays within herself yet she can take over when needed. She has the pull-up jumper, which she drops from mid to long-range, and scores well attacking the basket. Her “on the ball” defense stood out at Alamo City Hoops #I35HSShowdown, it’s even better than I thought
