We can say this, because we have watched most of them this spring and summer and they were right on point with their games and made great strides in terms of skill development in our eyes. Hope you enjoy reading these evaluations of these girls and also agree after watching them play. We aim to please on this site…..
5’4, PG, St. Marys Stockton HS, Nyah Buntun Nyah Buntun 5'4" | PG St. Mary’s | 2025 State CA – Nyah is a killer at the point guard spot, she is learning how to be more of a point guard for her high school and it is going to prove to be a great thing for her. She can score the ball, she can shoot it and she can defend, she just needs that push to be a true point guard that can run a team for a college coach, she will be able to do that, we have no doubt about it, she is making great process and helping her team get wins.
6’1, C, El Capitan HS, Paige Worthem Paige Worthem 6'1" | C El Capitan | 2025 State CA – Paige is that all you can do center, she is learning to play the game at the next level in high school, she has some great teachers and trainers, so it know surprise to see her get better and better each time we see her play. She has developed great post moves, she is rebounding very well and is one of the better shot blockers in the class. We expect big things from her this year, she will definitely make us proud.
6’3, C, Etiwanda HS, Layla Harris Layla Harris 6'3" | C Etiwanda | 2025 State CA – Layla is another big who is developing at a pace that is above the curve for her age, she is agile, she is big and she is a relentless rebounder in the paint. We love to watch her run the floor, get a good seal in the paint and score on her opponent, she leaves no chance for them to recover and defend her, it is over in the paint for them. She has great size, we love the build, she is going to be a true shot blocker for Etiwanda this year, watch those balls fly in the stands.
5’9, SF, Windward HS, Samari Bankhead Samari Bankhead 5'9" | SF Windward | 2025 State CA – Samari is very versatile for a guard with some good size, she can handle the rock and make good decisions on the court. She is able to score from a few levels on the floor, but her attribute to the game is her ability to finish at the rim through contact. She is a decent rebounder for her team and also sets some very hard screens for her teammates, crushing screens in our opinion.
5’8, CG, Lawndale HS, Jazmyne Shamburger Jazmyne Shamburger 5'8" | CG Long Beach Poly | 2025 State CA – Jazmyne is a decent ball handler and we have loved what we saw from her this past season, she is developing well and we expect her to make a great stride this season for her team. She can get out into transition and make plays, she can finish at the rim thru contact and she is one of the better defenders on the team. She is a star in transition and she makes great decisions on the floor for her team by making passes or finishing at the rim. Her rebounding skills are underated by many, but she does a great job on the boards from the guard position.
