The updated class rankings came out in September. We continue to break down the rankings. Let’s take a look at some of the class of 2024 newcomers.
Kelly Cramer Kelly Cramer 5'9" | PG St. Joseph Academy | 2024 State FL (DME Academy / DME Travel) – 5’9 Guard
Ranking: 68
Position Rank: 18
Cramer is a skilled perimeter player with excellent shooting form and a strong, solid body. She shoots a high percentage from 3 and has her hands ready and gets her feet set with quick release. If defenders over play her, she does a great job utilizing a shot fake and putting it to the floor to attack basket. When in the paint, Cramer does a good job finishing at the rim or drawing contact and getting to the free throw line. She is an excellent free throw shooter and unselfish passer who gives ball up to open teammates.
Makayla Stokes Makayla Stokes 6'1" | PF DME Academy | 2024 State FL (DME Travel) – 6’1 Forward
Ranking: 143
Position Rank: 21
Stokes is a long athlete who plays hard on both ends of the floor. The 6’1 forward who rebounds on both the offensive and defensive glass, she pursues balls in the paint. She is an active defender who contests shots both in the paint and on the perimeter.
Janiesia Stokes Janiesia Stokes 6'1" | PF DME Academy | 2024 State FL (Timber Creek / DME) – 6’1 Forward
Ranking: 145
Position Rank: 22
Stokes enters the ranking at # 145 overall after a solid performance for DME Academy travel team showcasing her long, athletic frame. The 6’1 forward mainly plays at the high post. She does a great job finding open space and getting a lot of touches. She has a strong, athletic build that is college ready and she is at her best facing up.
Destinie Gordon Destinie Gordon 5'11" | PF Colonial | 2024 State FL (Colonial / Orlando Basketball Club) – 5’11 PF
Ranking: 188
Position Rank: 23
Gordon is an undersized power forward who has a high motor. She is constantly moving and pursues all balls out of her area and doesn’t stop until she gets the rebound. She has a nice-looking jump shot that she consistently knocks down. Gordon is very good at defending the opponents post player. She frustrates them by controlling the paint, blocking shots and works hard not allow low post touches and making it difficult to score in the paint. Gordon enters the class of 2024 rankings at # 188 overall.
Saesha Moise Saesha Moise 5'4" | PG Edgewater | 2024 State FL (Edgewater / Orlando Basketball Club) – 5’4 SG
Ranking: 216
Position Rank: 44
Moise is a two-sport star for Edgewater High School, exceling in both basketball and track. A star track athlete for the Eagles, she shows her speed on the hard wood. Moise is extremely quick with the ball in her hands, showcasing an ability to get from baseline to baseline in transition much faster than her opponents. She has smooth, crafty moves at the rim, scoring often at the basket. Not just a penetrator or athlete, Moise can also knock down the outside jump shot.
Linsey Orr Linsey Orr 5'11" | PF Weeki Wachee | 2024 State FL (Weeki Wachee / FGC Miracle) – 5’11 Forward
Ranking: 242
Position Rank: 33
Orr is an Inside / out forward who holds down the paint and can also stretch it out to the perimeter by knocking down open 3s. She plays hard and aggressive and is a constant energy giver – consistently dapping and cheering teammates. Orr ups the positive vibes on every team she plays with, and is a big time intangible player that is tough to take off the court.
Chi Chi Wang Chi Chi Wang 5'11" | PG Olympia | 2024 State FL (Olympia / Orlando Basketball Club) – 5’11 PG
Ranking: 244
Position Rank: 47
Wang is a spunky player that plays with passion. She has a knack to get her hands on a lot of balls and can plays with a lot of tenacity. Wang has a smooth mid-range jumper, with the ability to make open shots off the catch and off the dribble. She is extremely effective in the short corner and on the baseline. Wang doesn’t just impact her team as an offensive player, she also increases her teams chance to win with her consistent intensity and overall leadership.
