The Dakotas Top 250 Expo held in Sioux Falls, SD on October 15th was a success. There was some high-level play from the prospects that came to compete. Prospects not only showcased themselves on the offensive side of the ball, but also competed hard on the defensive side as well. There was a large number of prospects that played well and made a ton of plays, but with this article we want to break it down to six that stood out as game-changers in certain aspects of the game. Expect more evaluations on top performers — because there was many.
Who were the GameChangers at the PGH Dakotas Top 250, and why? Let’s find out.
Caylin has been a regular at the Top 250 event and she showed out again, proving to be one of the top prospects at the event. She was a game-changer in her scoring and rebounding. Showed the ability to board-and-go from coast-to-coast and finish on her own. She had a particular game where she was continually putting the ball in the hoop. She didn’t even need to show off her mid-range game because she was knifing through the defense to finish off the glass consistently. I thought she played very smart and took what was given to her.

Ziah was one I was particularly excited to see play live. And she did not disappoint, exceeding expectations. She is an out-of-state transfer that will be a Sophomore for Bismarck Century. To explain her talents, she will be a member of highly respected North Tartan program. Breaking down her game, she was far in a way the best individual defender at the event. I’m not sure it was even close. She changed the game in a big way on defense. Her alertness, positioning, and attention to detail on that end was rare to see. Her defensive IQ along with her effort, make for an elite combination. She’s a top 5 prospect in the North Dakota 2025 class and will be added to the rankings in the next update.
Highlights
Zoie showed game-changing playing strength and toughness. She started getting stronger as the games went on and started separating herself. She was easily getting to the hoop and finishing with speed, power, and strength. She used her body well to power through contact and finish. Another lock-down defender as well. Bismarck Century now has the most loaded roster in the Dakotas. Zoie is right around the top 5 area in the North Dakota 2025 class.
Ashton was a game-changer on both ends, per usual. Her complete game and skill set was on display, with her knocking down threes and getting steals and deflections on defense. She has great timing on her anticipation on her steals, that she has perfected. Great timing, technique, and elite quickness make her a problem for even the best ball-handlers.
Ava was a game-changer as an aggressive scorer that willed her way to the hoop and was hitting a bunch of threes. She also had a game where she easily scored 20+ points in limited minutes.
