Hope Giddings Hope Giddings 5'8" | SG Sandia | 2025 State NM “Sandia” SG: Last season Hope Giddings Hope Giddings 5'8" | SG Sandia | 2025 State NM emerged as one of the best freshman. She is a very intelligent player who lets the game come to her. Hope Giddings Hope Giddings 5'8" | SG Sandia | 2025 State NM has improved in various areas in her game this past off-season and will showcase that this year. I think this will be a potential breakout year for the sophomore stud.
Taejhuan Hill Taejhuan Hill 5'11" | C Volcano Vista | 2024 State NM “Volcano Vista” Center: Through her first two seasons, Taejhuan Hill Taejhuan Hill 5'11" | C Volcano Vista | 2024 State NM is a two-time state champion. This year she will officially be the face of the Volcano Vista Hawks after losing several key players to graduation this past spring. She is up for the challenge and is on the verge of having her best season of her high school career so far.
Jordyn Dyer “La Cueva” Guard: The freshman standout will have the biggest impact on the varsity level of any player in the 2026 Class. The La Cueva Bears lost three really productive players from their basketball program but gained a key asset for the next few years to pair up with Star; Eva Love Eva Love 5'9" | SG La Cueva | 2024 State NM . Jordyn Dyer will be a player you hear a lot about this season despite being a freshman.
Gabby O’Hara Gabby O’Hara 5'5" | SF Bernalillo | 2023 State NM “Bernalillo” Forward: The Bernalillo Spartans lost perhaps the best player in the state last season in Juliana Aragon, but will have the second best player; Gabby O’Hara Gabby O’Hara 5'5" | SF Bernalillo | 2023 State NM for one more season. She will be the teams best player this season with her inside scoring and rebounding efforts. Expect Gabby to keep Bernalillo in the mix this year as a senior.
Mila Espinoza Mila Espinoza 5'4" | CG Volcano Vista | 2025 State NM “Volcano Vista” Guard: The Volcano Vista Hawks had arguably the best backcourt in New Mexico for the last two seasons, but lost those two players to graduation this past spring. They will be looking for a new set of guards for the future and Mila Espinoza Mila Espinoza 5'4" | CG Volcano Vista | 2025 State NM is one of those players. She plays the right way and fits in perfectly on the Hawks basketball program. I expect her to have a nice season for Volcano Vista defending their back to back State Titles.
