So many talented players in the building, looking for a chance to play at an even higher level. The first-year players below were putting on a show with NCAA coaches scattered throughout the building.
Morgan Marvin | 6’1 Freshman Wing | Glen Oaks (MI) – The feel and footwork in the low block area are evident the moment Marvin receives the ball. She has a soft touch, and strong awareness when she’s near the rim. Also can run the floor and keep up during the break
Bre’Nazah Davis | 6’3 Freshman Post | Rock Valley (IL) – The mobility and hustle is the first thing that stood out to me about Davis. Being the strongest and tallest player on the court through most games.. she still did the little things that guards refuse to do. Dive for loose balls, and switch with consistency while still being able to score and dominate in the low block.
Nevaeh Hughes | 6’2 Freshman Wing | Rock Valley (IL) – Hughes’s footwork is sharp.. especially in the high and low post. She knows how to use her strength and frame to score around and near the rim when needed. She’s a pure athlete, with a tremendous amount of agility. High IQ to match the advanced skillset.
Tatym Coe | 5’8 Freshman Guard | Rock Valley (IL) – Easily one of my favorite players in the building. Coe is just aggressive from start to finish.. and there is no letup on both sides of the ball. She can lock down your best player, and give your best defender a long night on the offensive side. Tatym has great speed, pace, and balance.
Ellie Reynolds | 5’8 Freshman Guard | Oakton (IL) – A shifty and quick-witted point guard with a strong sense for playing the combo guard position. Reynolds can distribute assists or buckets.. whatever is needed of her. She’s tough, quick and can handle the ball with security.
Eliana Wilson | 6’0 Freshman Wing | Glen Oaks (MI) – The hustle, energy, and countless amount of effort Wilson puts into every possession is contagious. She has the ability to guard multiple positions while still being able to impact the game on the opposite side as well. Her activity on the boards is high as well.
