We identified a bunch of young talent in July. As we transition from travel ball to school season, here are six 2028 wing and front court players to watch this middle school season.
London Baez (Hunters Creek Renaissance / CFE) – 5’7 Wing
Baez has great height and length for a young player and has a ton of potential. On a CFE roster loaded with talent Baez has some of the biggest upside. Her frame is what college coaches desire and as she continues to get stronger and grow into her body, she will continue to be a stock riser.
Kylie Green Kylie Green 5'3" | PG FL (Challenger 7 Elementary / East Coast United ) – 5’11 Wing
Green stood out for her confidence and court presence. At 5’11, she can play all three guard positions and can score in a variety of ways. She can shoot the 3, attack off the dribble, get into the paint and uses her length well to shoot and score over the top of defenders.
Kallie Marsh (Osceola / CFE) – 5’10 Wing
Marsh is a strong, stocky post player who can play the wing and forward spot. She is a good rebounder and finishes well in the paint. She runs the floor and plays aggressive defense and isn’t afraid to play physical.
Caeli Weaver Caeli Weaver 5'11" | SF Pacetti Bay | 2028 FL (Pacetti Bay / East Coast United ) – 5’11 Wing
Weaver is a tall, skinny post who is still growing into her body. She has a ton of potential and a big upside. She is one of the top young post players in Florida and a bright upside. She rebounded the ball, finished well in the paint, and was an impactful shot blocker.
Michelle McKenzie Michelle McKenzie 5'9" Gotcha | 2028 FL (Gotha / CFE) – 5’9 Center
McKenzie is another long, skinny post player with a ton of potential. She pursued balls out of area, ran the floor hard and did a good job in the paint, scoring vs contact and working hard on the defensive end.
Winnie Mesidor (Bella Lago / CFE) – 5’6 Center
Mesidor is undersized compared to some of the other post players, giving up 2-3 inches. Altough she is undersized, she makes up with her aggressive play and strong build. Should she continue to grow and compete at the same level, she will be an impact player and a prospect that people will need to keep their eyes on.
