The class of 2025 has entered their Sophomore season and as they transition from travel ball to prep ball, these are the top 10 players in the state based on the updated class of 2025 rankings. Check out the NEW Top 10!
Rank: 1
Lena Girardi Lena Girardi 5'10" | SF IMG Academy | 2025 State FL (Westminster Academy / Comets (PA)) – 5’10 Wing
Girardi is my favorite player to watch in the state of Florida regardless of class and unfortunately due to her playing travel ball with the Comets out of PA, I do not get to see her as much on the exposure scene as much as the other players in the state. But her size and skill are unmatched as she is one of the most productive players, playing at a super high efficiency, showcasing her skill. Her offensive skill set does not have many holes as she can knock down 3s, attack off the dribble, and utilize her IQ and court vision to find open players and create easy scoring opportunities. She continues to hold the # 1 spot in the class of 2025.
Rank: 2
Kali Barrett Kali Barrett 6'0" | SF Cardinal Mooney | 2025 State FL (Cardinal Mooney / FGB) – 6’0 Guard
Barrett is a scorer who is confident with the ball in her hands and a creative playmaker. She uses her strength and body well to get into the paint in transition, attacking off the bounce and scoring at the rim. Not just a penetrator, Barrett has 3-point range, shooting it from deep at a high percentage. She plays mature for her age, constantly playing up in age divisions and comes in at the # 2 spot in the class of 2025.
Rank: 3
Jaida Civil Jaida Civil 5'11" | PG Palm Bay | 2025 State FL (Vero Beach / East Coast United) – 5’11 Wing
Civil is up for the # 1 athlete spot with Jim’Myah Branton Jim’Myah Branton 5'7" | SG SLAM! (Miami) | 2025 State FL . Civil is long, athletic, and has a big time vertical. She had multiple opportunities in the summer to try and throw it down on a fast break. While she did not flush it, she was close and should be able to put one down before her prep career is over. Her upside is huge and she could potentially become the # 1 player in the class of 2025 as her productivity and skill catches up with her length and athleticism.
Rank: 4
Jim’Myah Branton Jim’Myah Branton 5'7" | SG SLAM! (Miami) | 2025 State FL (SLAM! Miami / Miami Suns) – 5’7 Guard
The top athlete either goes to Jaida Civil Jaida Civil 5'11" | PG Palm Bay | 2025 State FL or Branton. While Civil is 5’11 and long with a huge wingspan and a big time vertical, Branton is a 5’7 guard who has elite athleticism and big time hopes as well. Branton is a high flyer who scores well up above the rim and covers a lot of ground on both the offensive and defensive ends of the floor. Branton has a ton of D1 interest and a huge upside!!
Rank: 5
Kelis Fisher Kelis Fisher 5'9" | PG IMG Academy | 2025 State FL (IMG Academy / Team Thrill GUAA) – 5’9 Guard
Fisher is the top newcomer in the class of 2025, transferring to IMG Academy from Maryland. She has elite skills and fundamentals, is a terrific ball handler, and is a consistent perimeter shooter that has 3-point range. Her court presence and confidence are top notch and she has drawn a ton of interest from college coaches as a point guard and shooting guard.
Rank: 6
Kylee Kitts Kylee Kitts 6'0" | PF Faith Christian Academy | 2024 FL (Faith Christian Academy / Southeast All Stars) – 6’0 Forward
Kitts continues to move up the rankings. Following a similar development path as her older sister Chloe, Kylee has reached the 6’0 mark and is versatile. Her skill set continues to improve as she has the ability to play the wing and forward spots. She has big time potential and could ultimately takeover the # 1 spot if she continues to improve at the pace that she has over the last 18 months.
Rank: 7
Arianna Woodard Arianna Woodard 5'10" | PG Lake Highland Prep | 2025 State FL (Lake Highland Prep / Essence) – 5’10 Point Guard
Woodard is without a doubt a top 10 talent but has had trouble staying on the court due to injury. She is a talented scoring point guard that makes a lot of plays in the open court and in transition. Her ability to get by her defender and into the paint is top notch. She has very strong ball handling skills, using change of speed and combination moves to wreak havoc on opposing defenses. When defenses soften up on her, she has the ability to knock down 3s. I’m excited to see her back on the court healthy this high school season and if she is 100%, look for her to move up into the top 5 in the next rankings release.
Rank: 8
Olivia Olson Olivia Olson 5'10" | SF Mainland | 2025 State FL (DME Academy / DME Travel) – 5’10 Guard
In a class stacked full of talented guard, Olson has the most balanced offensive game with a big, strong build. She does not have many weaknesses offensively as she can pass, shoot and handle the ball. Her height opens up some things for her to see the court over the top of defenses as well as score above defenders.
Rank: 9
Markeli Jones-Tynes Markeli Jones-Tynes 5'9" | PG Westminster Academy | 2025 State FL (Westminster Academy / FGB) – 5’9 Point Guard
Jones-Tynes dropped a couple spots in the rankings after a bit of a challenging travel ball season but was flat out special during the high school season with Calvary Christian Academy. With her high school coach changing schools. Jones makes the move to Westminster Academy is expected to help lead them to compete for a state championship. She is big, strong, and skilled and does a great job doing whatever it takes to win, whether it is serving as a facilitate0r, scorer, rebounder or be a lock down defender. She comes in at the # 9 spot in the class of 2025!
Rank: 10
Jayden Terry Jayden Terry 5'8" | CG GHS - Gainesville | 2025 State FL (The Rock School / East Coast United) – 5’9 Guard
Terry has some of the biggest upside of any prospect in the class of 2025. She is long, athletic, versatile and talented. Her body looks like that of a high level BCS prospect that is successful in the modern day position less basketball. Terry ability to be a consistent, high percentage 3-point shooter will really increase her stock.
