Three 2027 Front Court Players To Watch This Season
By Michael Wholey 10/15/22 9:00 AM EST
We identified a bunch of young talent in July. As we transition from travel ball to school season, here are three 2027 front court players to watch this middle school season.
Jaelyn Belton (Miami Suns) – 5’8 Wing
Belton was one of the top young players of the summer. She played in several divisions and was consistently bigger, stronger, and faster than everyone on court whether she was playing 1-2 years up or in her own age group. She is a skilled player who has made major improvements on her perimeter game. She showcased her ability to inside and out and big-time scoring ability. She was one of the summers big newcomers to the exposure scene, picking up interest in offers at the BCS and D1 level.
Brianna Matthews Brianna Matthews 5'9" | PF Lincoln Park Academy | 2027 State FL (Lincoln Park Academy / East Coast United) – 5’9 Forward
Matthews grabbed my attention due to her persistence and activity level on the boards. Playing in her own age group, she was the biggest thing on the court by 3 inches and was all over the offensive and defensive glass. Because of her energy and motor, she is nearly impossible to get off the boards as she plays very active and pursues and chases down balls. She has good hands for a post player, finished well in the paint and is a potential big time prospect!!
Erynn Moffett Erynn Moffett 5'9" | PF Palm Bay | 2027 State FL (Westshore / East Coast United) – 5’9 Forward
Moffett is a potential stud and is a big time player in the 2027 class, playing in the 15U with players in the class of 2025. She can play both the perimeter and post positions. She has great length and athleticism and is a strong skill set, playing inside and out. She uses her length and athleticism on both ends of the court and impacts the game on multiple levels.
