Take a look at some more coverage of the class of 2023 rankings update below!
Kincaid absolutely went off last high school season. She was always the teammate that everyone wanted with her willingness to do the little things and play whatever role that her team needed her to play. But last high school season, she turned those traits into dominating basketball. So much so that Kincaid was named the high school season Prep Girls Hoops Michigan class of 2023 Player of the Year. Her game is so versatile with her ability to score from all 3 levels as well as defend multiple positions.
Lee could be considered one of the biggest stock risers in the recent rankings update. She’s a terror with her back to the basket on offense. Lee has strong hands that help her catch post feeds cleanly and she makes quick and decisive offensive post moves. She can spin and finish either way when she gets fed the ball in the paint. Lee deserves to be mentioned along with the best post players in Michigan.
Clement will be back in action this season and the rest of the state is probably sweating it out a little bit. She’s such a skilled post player and it all starts with her solid footwork on both ends of the floor. Clement slides vertically very well down low and it really helps her play great help defense. On the offensive end, that footwork seems to put often times put her a step ahead of her defender. Clement will be a key part of a title contending team.
White is a talented athlete with a very well rounded skillset. She shows some relentlessness on the glass, seemingly always around the ball under the rim and finding it off the glass. White can score from all 3 levels and fits the positionless basketball mold well. She fills up all corners of the stat sheet and will be a double-double threat in every game this coming high school season. White will be playing at Grand Valley State University after high school.
Bamm sent a message loud and clear over the spring and the summer. She showed everyone in Michigan, and beyond that, that she should be considered an elite post prospect. I might not have seen anyone dominate the glass the way she did during grassroots season. On offense she extended possessions and on defense she limited opponents possessions. Bamm showed improved footwork as well. It looked like she focused not on foot speed, but the nuances of how, why, when, and where she needed her feet to be and to go. It served Bamm well to say the least.
