Continue ReadingNovember 23rd we where able to attend the East Baton Rouge Parish tournament with teams Like Belaire, Northeast, Baker, Geo Next, McKinley, Broadmoor, Istrouma, Tara, Zachary, Glen Oaks, Woodlawn and Scotlandville all in attendance. This three day tournament finished on November 22nd with Zachary high competing against Scotlandville high in the finals. The number 1 seeded Lady Broncos of Zachary high lead for most of the 1st half and there biggest lead was 6 lead by Ava Raymond and her first half scoring but before the half finished the Lady Hornets took the lead on big plays by ’23 big F Trinitee Walker and ’23 guard Mia Shepherd. Entering the 4th quarter the Lady Hornets led the Lady Broncos 45-38 and never looked back winning the game 58-54 lead by ’24 Pg Kamiera McDonald Kamiera McDonald 5'6" | PG Scotlandville | 2024 State LA and her 18pts as well as ’23 F Trinitee Walkers double double. The Lady Broncos where lead by ’26 G Ava Raymond and her 24pts along with ’25 G Tiarra McPipe Tiarra McPipe 5'10" | CG Zachary | 2025 State LA and her 11pts! Here’s your EBR Parish All Tourney Team.
Was the tourney MVP finishing with 11pts in the Final game!
The engine behind the Zachary train Mcpipe had a great tourney and she continues to open eyes amongst evaluators and college coaches with her length and how hard she plays.
Highlights
Bursting on the Baton Rouge girls hoop scene Amijah was by far the the talk of the tourney, “who’s the girl from Woodlawn” she immediately makes Woodlawn high a contender.

Scotlandville’s Mrs. Walker was a walking double-double the whole tourney and she’s really making a name for herself since transferring from McKinley high in the final game she scored 20pts and double digit rebounds.

Its cool when you show up to a game and a kid makes you say “who is that”! Well that’s what Miss Smith did as I watched her use her supreme athleticism to finish around the rim and high point rebounds. She really left a good first impression and ill be back to see her again.
