This is a special class and I would be selling myself short along with everyone else by not recognizing more players. This top 10 list has 5 of the top 25 ranked players by ESPN W, along with many players that could easily be recognized at the national level. The 2025 class in Oklahoma is special and is arguably one of the highest ranked classes in the nation. Though positions may indeed change throughout the season – the players listed below kick off my rankings and is Part 1 of my Top 10 in the class of 2025.
Janiyah is a smooth point guard with loads of ability and potential. She is a cerebral player that can dismantle opponents in multiple ways and will find a way to be successful. She attacks the basket strong, can finish through contact, and has one of the best looking mid-range jumpers I have seen in a long time. Her outside jumper is very consistent and she is a very efficient player. At the point guard position, she understands her role and gets her teammates involved and at the right time she takes over. She is a high-IQ player that takes care of the ball and is a game changer. This year I look for her to step up in her defense and show all that she could do. Once she does so, everyone will be on notice that she is a top point guard in the nation. Janiyah was recognized and ranked the number 12th player in the class of 2025 by ESPN W. She has tons of offers by top programs and if she continues to put the work in, has a bright future. Janiyah performed outstanding last year at Stillwater High School and was named COAC “Freshman of the Year” along with numerous other accolades. This will be her first year at Edmond Memorial and she is a big reason why they will be successful this year, and hopefully make a run for the state title at the 6A level.
Keeley is a smart basketball player with a lot of talent and ability. The first thing I notice about Keeley is her poise and confidence. She is rarely sped up and knows how to maintain control and pace of the game. She has strong leadership ability, facilitates to her teammates, and her passes are always on time. She is a high-IQ basketball player that makes good decisions with the ball and produces on both ends. Defensively, does a good job of pressuring the ball and if the ball is dribbled in front of her, she has the length and quickness to grab it and go score an easy layup. She plays the passing lane for steals, rebounds, and hustles for loose balls. She shoots the basketball at a high level from deep and can hit the mid-range also. She can attack the gaps and get to the basket off the dribble effectively, and is a player that makes an impact on the court. Keeley was recognized and ranked the 6th player in the Class of 2025 nationally by ESPN W. She hold several offers by top college programs and I am excited to see how her sophomore season goes at Norman High School.
Keziah is a long, combo guard with the ability to run the point guard position. She handles the ball with pace and control and doesn’t force the issue. Standing at 6-feet she can see over the defense and has a high basketball IQ. Keziah is one of the most athletically gifted players in Oklahoma, and her passing ability is very under rated. She is left-handed but makes passing with either hand, on target to her teammates in optimal position to score. She takes the pressure off her teammates and handles it very well. She is pretty shifty with the ball when she wants to and can shoot it from the outside also. Defensively she creates problems for the opposing team by playing big and using her quick instincts to get deflections and steals. She scores great in the open floor but is ready to make a play for her teammates. Keziah was recognized and ranked the 10th player in the Class of 2025 nationally by ESPN W. Keziah has decided stay local and has verbally committed to the University of Oklahoma in the fall of 2025. It will be interesting and fun to watch Keziah this year at Bethany High school as they try and make a run for a 4A state title.
Marcayla is an athletic player with handles and great shot-making ability. She is smooth off the dribble and has an elite motor. When it is go time, she doesn’t hesitate and is ready to move. She is long and can see over the top of defenders and is a willing passer. She also can score the basketball with her back to the basket and is at her best with the ball in her hands. I would say one of Marcayla’s super powers is her energy! She is electric, brings hustle, effort, and is a spark plug for her team. That energy translates into production on both ends of the court. Just a positive player, always smiling and having fun with her teammates, but she gets down to business for sure. She is a mixture of finesse and power, she plays with confidence and will hit the big shot when her team needs a bucket. Marcayla was recognized and ranked the 10th player in the Class of 2025 nationally by ESPN W. Marcayla has recently committed to Baylor University and plans to attend in the Fall of 2025.
Sania is a quick point guard with high basketball IQ. She plays with her head up, surveys the floor, makes plays with perfect timing, and has elite passing ability. She can shoot the ball off the catch very well but is extremely effective creating off the dribble. She knows how to keep you on your toes guessing what she will do next and when you relax – zoom – she is gone. She attacks the gaps with explosiveness and she can create contact and finish at the basket at a high-level. Sania is a great 3-point shooter and does a good job creating space to get her shot off. I like her game because she is all business and gets the job done on the court – she wastes no time. Sania was recognized and ranked the 24th player in the Class of 2025 nationally by ESPN W. She hold several offers by top college programs and she is a player that I will have my eye on this year at Ada High School.
