Kirsten Lewis-Williams Kirsten Lewis-Williams 5’10” | CG Lake Norman | 2023 State NC continues to show her ability to dominate on both ends finding ways to maneuver to the hoop and score. She did a nice job sliding into position on defense to get the charge called and grabbed steals to push the other direction. She was an important part of Lake Norman’s trap defense at half court.
Highlights
Betsey Burnett Betsey Burnett 5’8″ | CG South Meck | 2023 State NC is a great facilitator controlling the tempo of the game, pushing the ball up the court, and making some nice bounce passes into her teammates. Her IQ is on display knowing how to break a press with her smart passes. Even without her other senior starting guard, she took over the game knocking down shots from deep and scoring by the rim.
Devin Long Devin Long 5’8″ | CG United Faith | 2025 State NC is aggressive on both ends of the court getting to the hoop through contact. She stripped the ball leading to her own points on a fast break. She even hustled back on defense stopping an opponent from scoring in transition. Her bounce passes moving full speed on a fast break were fun to watch finding its way to her teammate to score their own points.
Kate Sears Kate Sears 5’9″ | CG Watauga | 2025 State NC was knocking the ball away on defense and facilitating plays on the offensive side of the ball. She had a nice box out making sure her opponents didn’t grab the rebound anywhere near her. She hustled back on defense blocking shots in transition. She had a nice old fashioned three point play on a fast break. She does a nice job directing where her teammates should be to help their offense.
