Ariana Sanchez Ariana Sanchez 5'10" | CG Albuquerque | 2023 State NM “Albuquerque” Guard: The Bulldogs Senior Guard is set to have a big season after coming off a solid junior year. As the teams second leading scorer, she averaged an impressive 11 points per game after making 50 three-pointers last year. I expect her to raise her play this year and help Albuquerque be in the mix for a district title and compete for the State Championship.
Leah Valdez Leah Valdez SG Bernalillo | 2024 State NM “Bernalillo” Shooting Guard: Last season, Leah Valdez Leah Valdez SG Bernalillo | 2024 State NM played a huge role in the Spartans reaching the 4A Girls State Championship game. After losing teammate Juliana Aragon who was the Gatorade Player of the Year to graduation this past spring, expect Leah Valdez Leah Valdez SG Bernalillo | 2024 State NM to get even more shots and opportunities this year. Leah made 66 three-pointers last season which was the sixth-most in New Mexico. What was most impressive was her three-point shooting at a blazing 46% from behind the arc.
Bleona Agushi Bleona Agushi PG Del Norte | 2025 State NM “Del Norte” Point Guard: Sophomore Bleona Agushi Bleona Agushi PG Del Norte | 2025 State NM will be a player to keep your eyes on this season after having a respectable freshman year and hardworking off-season. The up and coming Del Norte star has added so much to her game since the end of last season and will showcase that in her second year on the varsity level. I wouldn’t be surprised if she has a breakout year this season.
Jadyn Montoya Jadyn Montoya SG Valencia | 2025 State NM “Valencia” Point Guard: Sophomore Point Guard Jadyn Montoya Jadyn Montoya SG Valencia | 2025 State NM was one eight freshman to averaged over 10 points per game last year. Her best game came during the 4A Girls State Tournament in the first round having a huge performance helping Valencia advance. The young freshman star last year rose to the occasion in big moments last year and will have a bigger role this season trying to help the Jaguars take the next step.
Brynn Hargrove Brynn Hargrove 5'6" | PG Hobbs | 2025 State NM “Hobbs” Guard: Brynn Hargrove Brynn Hargrove 5'6" | PG Hobbs | 2025 State NM is a fast and electrifying player to watch and that that’s exactly how the young guard played last year. She was a key piece in Hobbs reaching yet another 5A State Championship Game last season. She will be asked to be more of a leader this year and she’s up for the task. Brynn has already received plenty of interest from colleges and will continue that trend this season.
