<p>As the preseason kicks into gear we look at some of the Freshman who made huge impacts on the high school scene last season. They each impacted their teams in different manners with various skillsets: defense rebounds, leadership abilities assists, etc. One thing these Sophomores had in common last season was their ability to shoot the ball, the long ball in particular. </p>

<p>Knauff enters the 2022 - 2023 season after an amazing Freshman season. She turned heads all season last year avering nearly 17 points per game and knocking down 53 three pointers for the season. Knauff can really do it all on the court. This season should be another great one for Knauff. Her play as a Freshman deserves an encore. Get ready for it. </p>

<p>Price has already be labeled as one of the top 2025 players in the State. Over the summer, she shot the daylights out of the ball and continued into the fall preseason. She had several games of 4 threes or more in summer AAU, including the Inside Exposure tournament in Charlotte, NC. Price recently had a 7 three pointer performance in the Fall League. Price shot it well and was an important piece on a State Champion team. This season she is poised to be that and even more.</p>

<p>Ivery is another good shooting guard in rhe 2025 class. She really stood out in the summer and was special at the Memorial tournament at Disney, consistently knocking down threes. Ivery can shoot off the dribble and her catch and shoot ability is very good. The season awaits for an encore-performance.</p>

<p>Terry is one of the best 2025 players in the state of Florida and she had a very good freshman campaign. Terry averaged nearly 17 points per game and knocked down 42 three pointers. Terry is instant offense and will do it again this upcoming season, but at Gainesville High School. </p>

<p>Kane is one of the top shooters in the 2025 class. Last season, Kane averaged close to 10 points per game and knocked down 43 threes. She also ran point guard as a Freshman and made contributions all over the court. Her main role was shooting the ball, however. She will be ready for an even more productive Sophomore season. It will be done at DME as Kane transferred there for her Sophomore season. </p>

<p>Staples (pictured above) was the leader is 7A district 9 with 54 threes and an accuracy rate of 40 percent. She averaged 10.5 points per game. At the PGH Expo, Staples also stood out with impressive three point shooting. Staples is one of the best shooters in any class and is primed for an encore performance in her Sophomore season.</p>
