BRONZE
Barbers Hill
Dalanna Carter Dalanna Carter 5'6" | PG Barbers Hill | 2023 State #30 Nation TX -5’6 PG [2023]
Carter continued her offensive wizardry mixing the crossover and spins, with the stepbacks from deep yet her body control and athleticism is one of the main reasons I called her a #D1Lock in the grade. Her court vision as well as her ability to run a team has always been there yet her defense has gotten even better
Cynthia Lecompte Cynthia Lecompte 5'9" | PG Barbers Hill | 2024 State TX -5’8 SG/SF [2024]
Lecompte is a highlight waiting to happen in the open court but keep in mind she’s long and athletic which will always be the base. She never takes a play-off, she loved to defend, which is a lost art and she reads the court which translates into “playing the passing lane”. Her first step is hard to handle and she finishes strong but can drop the midrange as well
Rachel Glynn-5’8 SF [2025]
Glynn impressed me so much I’m dropping that hashtag #THROWBACK because I love seeing undersized players in the paint who understand positioning and outrebound taller opponents. She also finished on putbacks, nice upside
Kynlee Kejonen-6’0 PF/C [2025]
Kejonen keeps progressing which is what I look for and her agility has gotten better as she made nice moves in the paint, yet also attacked from the wing numerous times. She ran the floor and equally importantly, rebounded on both ends of the court
North Crowley
Amiya Hopkins Amiya Hopkins 6'2" | PF North Crowley | 2023 State TX -6’0 PF/C [2023]
Hopkins played at less than a hunnid percent, yes I’m cool with the slang, yet slang some shots the other way as well as went after the ball off the rim, on both ends. This enabled her to score on putbacks and finish with players literally hanging on her
Kendall Robinson Kendall Robinson 5'9" | SG North Crowley | 2024 State TX -5’10 SG [2024]
Robinson amazed me when I #D1Locked her before her first middle school game, yeah I’m that good but she is much better. That pull-up jumper in traffic looks so good and watching her elevate over defenders and drop the mid to long-range is something to see. She understands how to create her shot and the elevating also looks good while attacking the basket. She also plays “on the ball” defense quite well
Jamari Milton Jamari Milton 5'4" | PG North Crowley | 2026 State TX -5’6 PG [2026]
Milton had me worried as she was coming back from food poisoning 2 days before the event yet if you didn’t know, you would never have known because her upside is scary because of her explosiveness off the dribble as well as acrobatic finishes. She’s settling in at the 1, understands how to control the tempo and just to keep the defense honest, drops the mid to long-range. Oh yeah, she sees the floor
CONSOLATION
Cy Creek
Amari Chambers-5’11 SF [2023]
Chambers is long and athletic, a REAL EVALUATOR calls that the base. I have always loved her defense, her timing to block, alter, and (or) deflect shots as well as her rebounding, on both ends and playing the passing lane. She scores so well around the basket, she finishes off the dribble after contact and was dropping the midrange
Mariyah Dickson Mariyah Dickson 5'10" | PF Cy Creek | 2026 State TX -5’9 SG [2026]
Dickson had me wondering if I had seen her before and by checking out my blog’s search bar, I came up with nothing but then I used the search bar on my website, and voila. I love her game, keep in mind the article is from 2018, simple math, which many don’t use, makes her a 5th grader so again, #ThereIsNoMe and she is going to be a huge problem
Aubrey Hampton-6’3 C [2026]
Hampton made the cover when I first caught her earlier this season and trust me, she’s showing signs of being “hard to cover”. She also grew an inch from march but her game has grown as well. She’s strong, she goes up with power in the paint, and her mobility enables her to defend in and outside the paint
Cedar Park
Molly Ly Molly Ly 5'5" | PG Cedar Park | 2023 State TX -5’6 PG [2023]
Ly is closing out her high school career just like she showed me the first time I saw her, dazzling. Her COP, not the police but “change of pace” in the open court, is one of the best. She’s also one of the best UNSIGNED PLAYERS in Texas, college coaches check your inboxes. Her ability to score from mid to long-range as well as her court vision are all next-level ready
