Bishop Garrigan traveled up to the Twin Cities to take on two state champions in Minnesota a year ago; Hopkins and Providence Academy. In the first game against Hopkins, the Golden Bears were outgunned, like most teams in the country would be against the Royals. However, in their second game against Providence Academy, the Iowa State commit showed her efficiency around the basket. Crooks finished the contest with a jaw-dropping 48 points and 14 rebounds in the Golden Bears’ final game in the Twin Cities.

The Warriors mostly didn’t have much going for them offensively against Maquoketa Valley, but Scherf managed to help carry her offense with 20 points. The senior shot 9/14 from the field and made two of her three 3-point attempts against the Wildcats. She also finished with three rebounds, assists, and steals in the game. Scherf contributed in all aspects to help the Warriors come out with a win at Kirkwood Community College.
The Maroon sophomore and her team traveled up to the Twin Cities for the Twin Cities Tip-Off and locked horns with Hopkins on Saturday after the Royals had defeated the defending 1A state champion, Bishop Garrigan, the day before. In an eventual 10-point loss, Zediker finished with 20 points and got to the free-throw line 16 times against the national powerhouse. Although the sophomore only went three for eight from the field and made her only 3-point attempt, Zediker battled against an uber-talented group all game long. The Maroon grabbed eight rebounds in the game and created issues against some of the most talented kids in the country.
Kennedy White
The Ankeny Centennial forward is an intriguing kid who can do a multitude of things on the offensive end of the floor. When the Jaguars played against Iowa City on Saturday, she finished with 20 points and seven rebounds and went to the line seven times, converting six of those attempts. White’s size and skill make her one of the most challenging kids to defend. Even if you get her to miss a shot, there’s a good chance she gets her rebound and finishes the putback. Her motor goes nonstop.
