Emma Greenan, 5’10 F – St. Johnsbury Academy Class of 2024
Greenan’s game is straight to the point, there’s little flash or frills. Emma is a powerful presence around the post, capable of breaking down defenders with her face-up game that’s equipped with mid-range jumpers and powerful takes to the rack. Her post-up game is strong too, utilizing her strong frame to back players down and finish with touch around the cup. Defensively savvy, she clogs the lane well to cut off slashers and body’s post players up to prevent paint touches. Lastly, she has great pursuit of the ball and gobbles up rebounds on both ends. Emma is your classic 4 with mid-range touch.
Ryleigh Hughes, 5’8 G/W – Rutland High School Class of 2024
Ryleigh may be listed at 5’8 but with her strength she plays much bigger than she is. Hughes slashes well, and once inside the lane, uses her frame to create space for simple finishes. Moreover, she can play some post and is an adept rebounder, collecting offensive boards and second chance points often. Defensively she can battle down low as an unexpected matchup, throwing forwards off their game, or she can play her typical slot at the 2 or 3. Overall, Ryleigh’s strength and hustle separate her from the pack, for she’s a sound rebounder, a surprising paint presence, and a tough finisher around the hoop.
Ella Reynolds, 5’10 F – BFA. St Albans Class of 2023
A raw forward with good size and length, Ella plays an important role for BFA as a rim protector and rebounder. Reynolds’ wingspan and physicality make her a tough matchup down low where she creates contact and makes opponents work for their position. Her work on the glass is apparent, for she’s a keen rebounder due to her anticipation tracking down the rock. Offensively, Ella is a system player, and BFA’s back screen heavy motion offense is a perfect fit. Ella screens hard to open cuts for teammates, and her own cuts off of screens provide her ample opportunities to catch and finish in stride. Reynolds’ hustle and activity keep opponents busy.
Emma Grimes, 5’9 F – Rutland High School Class of 2026
Another powerful forward here, Emma Grimes brings the energy every game. A great communicator, Emma is a vocal leader in the paint where she informs teammates of incoming screens, directing traffic and gluing the defensive strategy together. Grimes uses her frame intuitively, creating contact in the post and forcing forwards off their spot. Offensively, Emma has a nice little post package with baby hooks and up-and-unders, using both well on either side of the rim. In addition, her pick-and-roll/pick-and-pop game is solid, finishing well off the roll and hitting short range jumpers or hitting spot up shooters for threes. Emma’s energy and communication is infectious.
Rosa Kori, 5’9 W – Rice Memorial High School Class of 2026
Rosa is an exciting player out of the class of ’26 for her game could develop in many ways. She’s someone who can occupy both the post and the wing offensively, getting physical in the post with hook shots and slashing from the perimeter for lays and short-range jumpers. Kori is also a threat out of the pick-and-roll from both spots, setting solid screens and rolling hard for finishes, or facilitating as the ballhandler and attacking downhill to create looks for herself and others. Highly switchable defensively, Rosa can matchup 2-4. Her strength and hustle bother forwards in the post while her length and quickness lock up perimeter players. I’m interested to see where Rosa takes her game.
