In our first release of the Class of 2025, we looked at players inside and outside the top 10, 20, 50, and 100. Now we take a look at ranked players that are potential stock risers.
About Our Rankings
Prep Girls Hoops prospect rankings have been compiled by our staff with input from high school, club and college coaches from across the state. Players are ranked on their status as a college prospect. We aim to expand and update our prospects rankings 2-4 times per year to continue to maintain the most comprehensive, accurate prospect rankings in the country.
With the initial release of the class of 2025 coming out this week on November 1 (you can take a look at the Class of 2025 Rankings HERE), there are a number of players that we found challenging to rank. These players fit into one of four categories: coming off injury, have not seen live, was only able to evaluate briefly, played on a travel team that did not attend exposure events that we evaluated at. For these reasons, all of these players could be potential stock risers when the updated rankings come out in January of 2022.
# 8 Jayshlynn Vega Jayshlynn Vega 5'4" | PG Central Pointe Academy | 2025 State FL (DME Academy / Central Florida Elite) – 5’4 PG
Vega played on one of the surprise high school teams of the the 2020-21 season, Central Pointe Academy but was injured for a portion of the season. The word on the street is Vega can do it all – handle, pass, finish, and shoot it from deep. Hoping to catch a healthy Jayshlynn Vega Jayshlynn Vega 5'4" | PG Central Pointe Academy | 2025 State FL in the 2021-22 season with her suiting it up for DME Academy this year, and if the public opinion on her is right, she could move into the top 5.
# 13 Asya Lara Barnes Asya Lara Barnes 6'0" | SF DME Academy | 2025 State FL (Bellcreek Academy / Compound Basketball)
Barnes has been impressive both times I have seen her this fall and a case could be made for her to break into the top 10 and even higher but I need to see her vs tougher and more physical players, on a bigger stage, and against stiffer competition. Her body type and skillset are impressive – how it translates still remains a bit unknown.
# 23 Sophia Kateris Sophia Kateris 5'11" | SF The King's Academy - West Palm Beach | 2025 State FL (King’s Academy / Wellington Wolves) – 5’10 Wing
I had Jade Jones Jade Jones 5'11" | SF King's Academy | 2025 State FL , Janiah Suprius Janiah Suprius 5'5" | CG Seminole Ridge | 2025 State FL , and Kateris on very similar levels. At this point, Jones and Suprius are the better players but Kateris might be the best prospect. She has great height, is skilled, and a strong work ethic. Stay tuned.
# 25 V’Davrielle “DaeDae” Johnson V’Davrielle “DaeDae” Johnson 5'7" | CG Gateway | 2025 State FL (South Fort Myers / Florida Future) – CG
Three words – HIGH LEVEL ATHLETE. Three more words – WILL IT TRANSLATE? Johnson has a dynamic body, elite level athleticism and all the potential in the world. If she improves her offensive skill set, performs consistently, and has a strong work ethic – she will jump into the top 10!
# 27 Sophia Munoz (Central Pointe Academy / Central Florida Elite) – 5’8 CG
Munoz is considered to be one of the top point guards in the state regardless of class. We have just not had a chance to see her play much. We will get a chance to see her play several times with Central Pointe Academy and make a decision as to if she is as good as advertised. She is currently the # 27 ranked prospect and the # 7th ranked point guard. With 4 point guards ranked in the top 8, if Munoz is better than those players, look for her to jump into the top 10, maybe even the top 5.
# 37 Soleil DeJesus Soleil DeJesus 5'8" | PF Excel Christian Academy | 2025 State FL – 5’7 SG
A lot of people in various basketball circles speak very highly of DeJesus. I have just not seen her play and don’t have enough info to rank her higher. Should she play as well as people speak of her, she is a top 15-25 player for sure!
# 45 London Atkins London Atkins 6'1" | SF FL (Team Florida) – 6’1 Wing / Forward
I saw Atkins at the back end of July with a short handed Team Florida squad. There are very few players in the 2025 class that have the combination of her height, frame, and skill. I need to see her play more but she surely has a ton of potential.
# 51 Sara Lee Blair Sara Lee Blair 6'5" | C Dillard | 2025 State FL (Dillard HS / GT Queens – 6’5 Center
At 6’5, Blair is the tallest player in the class of 2025. We do not have a weight for her but she is a player with a lot of mass. In girls and women’s basketball, 6’5 players with mass can be extremely effective if they can keep up with the speed of the game. Their height and mass make them challenging to defend, box out, or just in general move. Blair, like many post players, skill set is still undeveloped but should she continue to work on her game, she is a potential high level D1 college prospect.
# 63 Kaedynce Jones Kaedynce Jones SF Ribault | 2025 State FL (Jacksonville Lady Rams) – SG
I do not know Jones well and did not see her play this spring or summer but I have consistently heard her name from several trusted sources. I hope to see her in the 2021-22 high school season and make an evaluation for myself. Should she be as good as advertised, she could potentially jump into the top 25!
# 75 Kylee Kitts Kylee Kitts 6'0" | PF Faith Christian Academy | 2024 FL (DME Academy) – 6’0 Forward
Kitts older sister, Chloe Kitts Chloe Kitts 6'2" | SF Faith Christian Academy | 2022 FL is one of the top prospects nationally in the class of 2023. Chloe made a huge jump from her Freshman season to her Sophomore season, growing several inches, fully transitioning to the wing and just overall being a consistent performer. With Kylee standing at 6’0, should she make a similar jump in the next 12-24 months, look for her to jump into the top 25 and maybe higher.
# 83 Imony Housey Imony Housey 5'8" | PF Chaminade Madonna | 2025 State FL (Florida Lady Huskies) – 5’8 PF
Simply put Housey is big and strong but undersized. She has consistently improved each time I have seen her over the last 3 years. Should she continue to maintain a strong work ethic, improve her overall offensive skillset, get stronger and faster, and grow to 6’0+ then Housey is a top 40 prospect.
# 91 Lamiyah Hogans Lamiyah Hogans 5'10" | CG San Jose Prep | 2025 State FL (Raines HS / East Coast United) – 5’10 CG
Hogans performed well this spring/summer for ECU and is expected to be a key contributor for Raines this year as a Freshman. A case could be made that she is a top 50 prospect now but we will try and see her 1-2 times more this high school season and see if she is worthy of a big jump.
# 104 Jayla Midget Jayla Midget 5'7" | CG Western Pines Middle School | 2025 State FL (Seminole Ridge / Wellington Wolves) – 5’7 CG
Midget older sister Jahnae Midget was a 1st Team All County player for Seminole Ridge and helped put them on the map in Palm Beach. She has since graduated and is suiting it up this year for Palm Beach Atlantic and now it is younger sister Jayal turn. The 5’7 guard has the road map – now it is up to her. Should she be as productive on the court as Jahnae then she is a top 50 prospect for sure!
# 116 Aubrey Satterfield Aubrey Satterfield 5'8" | SG West Orange | 2026 State FL (Central Florida Christian Academy / Essence) – 5’8 SG
Satterfield has been on my list to see for the last two years and I have just not got the opportunity to see her play extensively. Hoping to see her with her high school team this season and if not, will catch her in the spring/summer of 2022 during travel ball.
About the Class of 2025 Rankings
This is the first release of the class of 2025. We have looked at players performance and potential with both their High School and Travel teams. If there is a player that not included in the rankings or you feel is not ranked properly, please email us at WholeyPrepHoops@gmail.com and include Name, Height, Position, HS, Travel team, any stats available and any video available. Our goal is to cover the entire state, but we are well aware that we have not seen everyone in the state and those that we have seen, we have not seen all of them equally the same amount of time and games. We have done our best to rank the players based on what we have seen personally. Our next updated ranking will be released in January of 2022.
