Grant McGinnis is a former sportswriter, columnist and broadcaster whose coverage included NHL hockey, the Olympic Games and D1 college basketball in the old Southwest Conference. Among his favorite assignments was a memorable stint in Texas covering TCU basketball at a time when the Horned Frogs had some future NBA picks and one of the wackier coaches around. More recently, Grant has worked in sports marketing, and as a marketing and communications consultant. He is also a certifiable girls basketball junkie who saw more than 150 high school teams last year and twice that many in AAU. Follow him on Twitter @GMacHoops
